| At present, our country is in the curriculum reform of new round of basic education. Thenew curriculum reforms brought not only the opportunity, but the challenge to the elementaryand middle-school teachers. So teachers must enhance the qualities, such as the political andmoral quality, the cultural quality, the professional quality, the operation quality ofteachers and the physical and mental quality to meet the need of the new curriculum reforms.But it is indicated in many studies that during the process of the implementation of the newcurriculum, teachers are lack of the knowledge that he or she is teaching, say, the professionalquality.From the process of growth and development of teachers, the quality is forming anddeveloping gradually, including former study stage, studying stage and later study stage in thehigher normal colleges. The studying stage of the higher normal colleges is playing animportant role in the forming and developing of the teachers' qualities. Then, how do theHigher Normal Colleges train the biological normal students to adapt to the new curriculumreforms? Especially train the students to have the biological professional quality to meet thenew curriculum reforms.The curriculum structure of biology education in our higher normal colleges hascontinued using the pattern of the Soviet Union in the 1950s. Though reformed, the structurehas been changed quite little. Therefore, compared with the basic education curriculum, thecurriculum of the higher normal colleges has been obviously left behind. On the basis ofanalyzing the curriculum structure of biology education of different schools, particular in thebiological curriculum, the article puts forward some suggestions on the current curriculumstructure of biology education in our higher normal colleges according to the demand of themiddle-school biology teachers' professional quality of the curriculum reform of basiceducation. |
