The Study Of Climatic Resources On Tourism And The Tourism Meteorological Index Of Shapotou, Zhongwei

On the basis of the 30 years(1971—2000) reorganized data frommeteorological stations in Ningxia,the climatic resources on tourism has beenaccessed by means of the temperature-humid index and the wind chill index. And theclimatic resources on tourism of Shapotou, Zhongwei, has been further accessed onthe basis of the local micro climatic observation data at Shapotou from April toOctober,2005. The main meteorological conditions affecting the two specialtourism items, sand skating and sheepskin raft drift, have been analyzed based on thecluster analysis method,and the prediction model for clothes index in differenttourism period has been established by use of human heat budget model. Resultsindicate that: (1) The Month form May to September are 5 favorable months fortourism at Shapotou, while there are only 3 months in maximum in other regions inNingxia. The periods of comfortable and relaxing tourism in Shapotou are thelongest in the whole region. (2) as to view the psammophyte and its flower and fruitat Shapotou, from late-March to early-November is the favorable the season forpsammophyte, while from early-April to early-May, from late-May to mid-June andfrom mid-July to mid-September are 3 favorable periods for its flower, and fromearly-May to early July and early Sepetmber are 2 favorable periods for its fruit; as toview the special fruit trees from the mid-April to the early- November is the bestseason, while form mid-April to early-June for their flower and from the mid-June tothe late-August for their fruit; as to tourism on Eco-Agriculture especially onsand-field watermelon, from early-June to the late-August is the best season, and theperiod from early-June to late-June for flower, the period form early- August to thelate- August for fruit. (3) with the gradually increasing yearly temperature, thetourism season at Shapotou can be further extended, and the climatic condition isfavorable to the development of the tourism at Shapotou.(4)the tourismmeteorological index of sand skating and sheepskin raft drift can be categorised into7 grades; and the clothes index into 9 grade.(5)prediction model of meteorologicalservice indexes is been set up.
