Museum informatics explores the sociotechnical issues that arise when people, information and technology interact in museums. This study takes as its starting point a particular understanding of how new techniques applied in the traditional collection management in museums. Museum professionals face new information management challenges, from making decisions about content management software to selection metadata standards for sharing information with other institutions. With the practice and methodology study in digitalization of Chinese museums’ collections, there have been several problems which already grasped many researchers. How to normalize the traditional collection processing and how to design the collection management and information sharing process are both two of the most interesting fields in museum study. Meanwhile metadata standards for sharing object information has been a prerequisite which grantees digitalized collection information searching and accessing. The fussiest problem belongs to how to combine the cultural object and its digital information whenever as it needs. Our framework of new collection management based on the integration of two separated system which called Collection Management System(CMS) and RFID Mobile System. With the perfect design of CMS which modified the normalized collection management processing it can quickly standardize collection management processing in different museums as well as training the museums’ employees. Through the analyzing of CMS processing we designed special functions in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Mobile System. High-frequency passive tags are put on the cultural objects, RFID equipment with its own antenna can be used whenever the curator checks the museum storage. Since the RFID Mobile System has a function item which named "object location" it can be filled in the exact locating information of an identified object, the curator can use the designed counting function with the RFID Mobile reading equipment. Cooperated with the CMS and RFID Mobile system a not-touch collection management style in dairy collection management turns into reality. It will greatly improve the efficient and dramatically reduced the risk of collection management while according with the safety-first conception.
