"Convergence", as the core image of the digital transformation, could be the basic trend of the development of journalism after the rise of the Internet. At the same time, based on new communication technology revolution, bluring the old system boundary is characterized by the ""Convergence " makes journalism experiencing a double crisis:the crisis of business models and production patterns. This study focus on the interaction between convergence regime and journalism in transition, and try to solve the following specific issues:convergence regime what going on in convergence regime? what changes have occurred in Journalism, especially in news production mode? What is the significance of this change?The first chapter is the introduction, introducing Henry Jenkins convergence culture and Manuel Castells public self-communication as a theoretical tool, combing the" convergence " of history and theory of progress; trying to quote the concept "meida regime" from their work, After Broadcast News:Media Regimes, Democracy, and the New information environment.In this dissertation "meida regime" are going to be "convergence regime" as the research perspective.The second chapter review some case in the digital transformation of journalism business mode. The chapter not only review the transition of journalism in a broad range view, but also pave the way for xinmin.cn as case study of news production in convergence regime, core part of this article.The third chapter focusing on news production pattern in convergence regime would be a key part of this study. In the news room of xinmin.cn, researcher through the participation of the three-month observation and some interviews, pay special attention to the network convergence practice between Xinmin Evening News and Xinmin web.Through the study, we may conclude, there is three news production pattern including professional model, the mode of collaboration within the organization and social cooperation model.Chapter Four through audience interviews to know news consumption practice change from the audience perspective. Feedback from the respondents, the audience is shifting from the traditional news consumption patterns to be news production/consumption promiscuous mode. News consumption has gradually evolved into a new type of work.Chapter Five focus on social media platforms based on the new technology framework of Web2.0, and its effect on journalism in transition. The chapter also indroduce automated machinery newsmaking tool and citizen journalism, as the two alternative form of establishment journalism.
