Research On Scientific And Technological Innovation Promoting The High-Quality Development Of Guangxi’s Foreign Trade

Based on the current domestic and international situation,under the background of the New Normal of economy and high-quality development,China has proposed a new development pattern with domestic systemic circulation as the main body and domestic and foreign double cycle development,and accordingly improved the innovation driven strategy.China is an important populous country and is considered the most attractive market in the context of global economic slowdown.Moreover,Guangxi is a relatively important province in foreign trade among the four southwestern provinces(Guangxi,Sichuan,Yunnan,and Guizhou),especially in foreign trade with ASEAN.Although Guangxi has a large trade potential,there is still a large gap between the high-quality development of its foreign trade and that of the Pearl River Delta.Under the innovation driven strategy,Guangxi has improved its technological innovation ability,and used the domestic systemic circulation to carry out foreign trade,cooperate with many manufacturers around the world,and constantly improve its international perspective and enhance its competitiveness in international trade in the context of economic globalization.In the entire process of economic development,technological innovation has played a significant role and formed a bridge for domestic and international dual circulation,further promoting the development of foreign trade and improving the quality of foreign trade.This article focuses on the study of the impact of technological innovation on the high-quality development of foreign trade in Guangxi.Based on a case study of the Guangxi region,empirical analysis is conducted to propose the optimization of technological innovation in the high-quality development process of Guangxi’s foreign trade,and relevant suggestions are proposed.This article first constructs an evaluation index system for technological innovation,including 4 first level indicators,8 second level indicators,and 27 third level indicators.Factor analysis is used to comprehensively evaluate the data of 10 major cities in Guangxi from 2017 to 2021.Secondly,an evaluation index system for the high-quality development of Guangxi’s foreign trade is constructed.The entire index system includes three first level indicators,including the scale,structure,and effects of foreign trade,It also includes eight secondary indicators.Then,it uses the panel data regression analysis method to analyze the relationship between the index results of various dimensions of scientific and technological innovation in Guangxi and the impact of high-quality development of foreign trade.The analysis results show that in Guangxi,the level of scientific and technological innovation has a significant impact on high-quality development of foreign trade,and the higher the level of science and technology,the greater the impact.However,there are differences in the degree to which the four variables of technology support the high-quality development of foreign trade.The output of scientific and technological activities has the strongest supporting effect on the high-quality development of foreign trade;In the middle to high percentile,the investment in scientific and technological activities has the highest impact on the high-quality development of foreign trade;In the high-quality development level of foreign trade,Highlands is more significantly affected by the output of scientific and technological activities;The impact of high-tech industrialization on high-quality development is positive,but the current impact and driving force are relatively low,with the impact of medium to low levels and high levels being slightly greater.Finally,based on the above empirical results,targeted countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to provide reference for the high-quality development of Guangxi’s foreign trade.
