At present,China’s pharmaceutical industry is in a critical period of transformation,with both opportunities and challenges.How to seize the opportunities brought by the great changes in this complex and fierce competitive environment is a topic that every enterprise needs to face.Talents are the key to build the core competitiveness of pharmaceutical enterprises.In the competition for talents,building a mechanism of "using the talents in the world" to attract,recruit and retain core talents has become a restrictive factor for the survival and long-term development of enterprises.Under the background of fierce competition for talents in the pharmaceutical industry,this paper takes how to recruit and allocate competent middle-level managers in pharmaceutical R&D enterprises as the research theme,and takes Z Company as the starting point to further explore the application of competency model in the recruitment of middle-level managers.Combined with the characteristics of talent recruitment in the pharmaceutical industry and the actual problems of middle-level management recruitment in Z company,through the combination of card method and action learning,this paper constructs the competency success model of middle-level managers,which can be used as the basis of recruitment practice such as talent inventory,recruitment demand confirmation,personnel search,interview selection and so on.Organically combine the solution of recruitment problems with the continuous improvement of management system,build the company’s core competence,achieve the company’s strategic objectives and promote the development of the enterprise through the improvement of recruitment activities.The practice and results of applying competency model to recruit middle-level managers in Z company studied in this paper have preliminarily verified the effectiveness of the model and demonstrated the practical value of the improvement measures in the whole life cycle of recruitment.Finally,taking the recruitment practice of Z Company as an epitome and sample of enterprises in the pharmaceutical industry,this paper discusses the reference function and significance of relevant measures for similar enterprises in the pharmaceutical industry.
