In recent years, with the development of the process of deepening economic globalization and fast development of China’s market economy status of the logistics industry in the development of the national economy has undergone enormous changes, the role has become increasingly important.With the changes, people are increasingly aware of the logistics enterprise middle management is the backbone of logistics enterprises, logistics enterprises and even affect the sustainability of the logistics industry, the rapid development of important factors.Through in-depth study of the logistics enterprise middle management competency issues, it can be specifically analyzed practitioners should have the capacity and quality, Help to improve the position of middle management competencies for logistics enterprises train outstanding management personnel and reserve forces, give full play to the important role of middle managers in business management, and promote the efficient development of logistics enterprises and logistics industry.This paper introduces the basic competence related knowledge, a systematic exposition of the theory of competency model, competency model and the process of building a brief description.Under the guidance of competency model of logistics enterprises middle management personnel of the role, gained competency factors through literature analysis, and through behavioral event interview on competency elements additions and amendments. On this basis, to large logistics company’s middle management personnel for the survey, using questionnaires, exploratory factor analysis, reliability, validity and other methods to determine the dimensions and weight model weight, to establish a logistics company middle managers competency Model. Finally, based on the mid-level managers to build competency model has been applied to logistics companies to explore in recruiting middle management, training, performance evaluation and career planning, to achieve the upgrading of the logistics company middle managers to enhance the level of competency of purposes.
