The competition between companies is no longer limited to products and services.Talent is becoming more important.As the core members of the enterprise,middle managers play a key role in connecting the preceding and the following.In recent years,more and more scholars have begun to study the competency theory and put it into practice in the management of various positions in different industries.For middle managers,it is of great significance to effectively evaluate and improve their competency level for the development of enterprises.Company investigating and researching the middle managers of X Company,this paper constructs a competency model based on the pertinent elements of these individuals.The model contains 16 characteristic elements,which are forward-looking,strategic awareness,fairness and justice,responsibility,communication and coordination,motivation and cultivation of subordinates,team management,decision-making ability,planning control,executive force,influence,continuous learning and innovation ability,quality control,service awareness,customer marketing,professional knowledge and skills.The validity of the model is verified by SPSS data analysis.According to the questionnaire survey and other methods,the following four problems exist in the current situation of middle management competence of X company: lack of scientific recruitment,lack of sound training system,unclear promotion way,and lack of incentive measures.According to the middle management competency model of X Company,corresponding promotion countermeasures are proposed respectively:Establish a scientific recruitment,including the formulation of recruitment standards,broaden recruitment channels,improve the recruitment process of three aspects;design systematic training,from the improvement of the training process to the training content and training objects of the directed design,as well as training methods to train teachers and diversification;suggest the company to rationalize the promotion channels;Implement adaptive incentive measures according to different needs of middle managers.The significance of this study lies in the following: By building the middle manager competency model of X Company,the current situation of middle managers’ competency is improved,so as to enhance the overall level of middle managers and strengthen the core competitiveness of the company.At the same time,it also provides some reference for the middle-level managers of relevant enterprises.
