| Animal tags are an important branch of radio frequency identification(RFID)technology,generally used in the frequency range of 125 k Hz to 13.4MHz,and belong to passive low-frequency RFID chips.With the development of the economy,digital breeding,personal pet identification and other technologies gradually enter the life of the general public,farms,pet management and personal demand for animal tags is growing,low-cost,high-performance 125 k Hz animal tags also have a broad application market.Based on ISO11784 and IEC11785 standards,this paper designs an animal tag chip with ASK modulation mode operating at 125 k Hz.The specific work of this article is as follows:1.Optimized design of EEPROM: EEPROM has a design capacity of 396 bits,supports33-bit(including 32-bit data bits and 1-bit lock bits)parallel input,and 1-bit serial output,which is used to store configuration data,user-defined data,keys,etc.of analog front-end circuits and digital control circuits.In this paper,the high-voltage generation circuit and readout circuit of EEPROM are optimized,the optimized Dickson charge pump can achieve stable boost within 10μs,and the readout circuit can achieve accurate judgment of the logic value of the memory cell without using a current source,minimizing the EEPROM layout area while ensuring the correct function,thereby reducing the manufacturing cost.2.Design and layout implementation of digital control circuit: The digital control circuit realizes the read and write control and data transfer protocol selection of EEPROM,and the four data transmission protocols supported are fixed-length data bit transmission protocol(default protocol),long reference pulse data transmission protocol,data 0 as reference pulse data transmission protocol,and dual encoding data transmission protocol.Based on the standard digital chip design process,this paper completes the key processes such as logic synthesis,automatic layout and routing,and static timing analysis of digital control circuits.3.Tape-out test analysis: After the analog front-end circuit,EEPROM,and digital control circuit are spliced to the layout,the tape-out is completed under the 350 nm EEPROM process,and the chip after tape-out is tested.The animal tag chip has a layout area of1.14mm2,a read and write distance of ≥9cm,a disposable storage capacity of 396 bits,and supports four animal tag data transmission protocols,which has certain advantages in the read and write distance and chip area(cost)compared with the performance of similar products Remex-001 and EM4305 on the market. |
