Research On The Content Strategy Of The Original Children’s Picture Book "Tell Chinese Stories Well"

In recent years,due to the continuous development of China’s economy and the increasing influence of China at home and abroad,the development of original children’s picture books has made certain progress.At the same time,it has also promoted original children’s picture books to tell Chinese stories to readers at home and abroad to a certain extent and spread the voice of China.In the era of globalization,the international community’s attention to China has increased.However,due to cultural differences,there are still misunderstandings about China among other countries in the world.As an important medium for cultural exchange,the publishing industry shoulders an important cultural mission.Therefore,the importance of using excellent published works to tell a good Chinese story is becoming increasingly prominent.Original children’s picture books created by children who bear the hope of the country’s future should take on the responsibility of telling a good Chinese story,and improving the quality of their content is necessary.Nowadays,international exchanges are becoming increasingly frequent,and cultural communication at home and abroad is also becoming more common.As one of the publications,the original children’s picture book has begun to tell the story of China well and has achieved good results in the current development.Firstly,the team of creators of original children’s picture books is growing day by day,with a large number of original authors such as Cai Gao,Xiong Liang,and Yu Hongcheng emerging;Secondly,the number of original children’s book brands continues to increase,and children’s book publishing is gradually transitioning from professional publishing to mass publishing;Finally,the original children’s picture book "Telling the Story of China Well" has gone abroad,entered the international picture book market,and achieved good results.Original children’s picture books embody many characteristics in their content presentation,such as rich and diverse theme choices,telling many different types of Chinese stories well;The close integration of graphic and textual relationships highlights the special relationship between picture books and texts that complement and complement each other;The narrative style is flexible and varied,providing readers with different reading experiences through different forms.However,currently,most of China’s original children’s picture books have a one-sided understanding of the content of "Chinese stories",which has led to some problems when these original children’s picture books "tell Chinese stories well".Firstly,the existing original children’s picture books in the picture book market are too focused on the theme of "telling Chinese stories well",resulting in an imbalance in topic selection and a lack of imagination in story content;Secondly,some original children’s picture books lack integrity in image and text processing,neglecting the "image and text ensemble" of the picture books,resulting in a lack of storytelling in the content of original children’s picture books;Furthermore,many original children’s picture books in our country lack international narrative and blindly ignore cultural differences,making it difficult for domestic and foreign readers to empathize when reading.In the context of globalization,in order for original children’s picture books to "tell the story of China well," it is necessary to always adhere to the concept of "children first" and optimize the content of the "Chinese story" in terms of theme selection,image and text processing,and narrative style.Firstly,in terms of theme selection,original children’s picture books should balance the fun and localization of picture book creation,pay attention to extending theme selection,exploring contemporary and future Chinese stories,and telling the Chinese practices,values,and choices of modern and contemporary times;Secondly,in terms of image and text processing,original children’s picture books should enhance their storytelling skills,cleverly use techniques such as comparison and foreshadowing to arrange the story plot,and continuously strengthen the storytelling of original children’s picture books;Finally,in terms of narrative style,original children’s picture books should build a narrative style that integrates Chinese and foreign storytelling,update discourse methods to create new forms of expression suitable for domestic dissemination,pay attention to balancing the national and global characteristics of the "Chinese story",establish a good structure for original children’s picture books to tell the "Chinese story" well,and convey the Chinese voice well for future original children’s picture books,Take on the responsibility of cultural exchange and dissemination,and contribute to it.On the basis of optimizing the content of original children’s picture books to "tell the story of China well",we aim to cultivate professional talent for original picture book authors,explore multiple types of excellent children’s book brands and picture book studios,and ensure smooth progress in all aspects of the publishing process,in order to improve the content quality of original children’s picture books,thereby better "going out" and spreading Chinese culture.
