Research On The Publishing Of "Chinese-style" Original Children’s Picture Books

Picture books are relatively mature children’s books originated from the West after a hundred years of development.As a graphic ensemble complete story books,picture books itself has strong interest,storytelling and artistry,in guiding children to set up correct ideas,expand language thinking,build good character,enhance the aesthetic creation ability,cultivating imagination and inquisition ability and enhance parent-child interaction has many benefits,is quite popular with the children and parents.Since the beginning of the new century,with the increasing attention paid to children in China,the status of children has been gradually improved,and the needs of children have been widely concerned.More and more high-quality foreign picture books have been introduced into China,bringing the pleasure of reading to Chinese children.However,with the passage of time,imported picture books occupy a large share of the market,while there are very few original picture books containing the essence of Chinese culture,which is difficult to meet the reading needs of domestic and foreign readers.Driven by both market demand and cultural demand,"Chinese style" original picture books for children with Chinese characteristics set off a trend of original picture books with Chinese characteristics content and binding form,a series of high-quality picture books such as "Little Stone Lion" and "Reunion" have been pouring out.Compared with the imported version of picture books and ordinary original children’s picture books,these "Chinese-style" original children’s picture books are based on literature and art,folk customs,regional landscapes,ideas and other local content in the topic selection,and reproduce the Chinese spirit contained in the way of cultural reconstruction.On the screen,he is good at using symbols such as dragon and phoenix,auspicious clouds and traditional crafts to enrich the figure modeling of the screen,with bright traditional Chinese painting techniques and words full of rhythm to describe the beautiful and delicate Oriental meaning;In the binding by folding,line,vertical layout and other content to create a strong quaint charm.Chinese culture,Chinese memory,Chinese feelings and other characteristics conveyed in topics,pictures,binding and other aspects increase the expression of national identity,convey the true meaning of national emotion,and meet the urgent needs of children to read local picture books.Following the trend and developing rapidly,original children’s picture books with "Chinese style" are also confronted with difficulties such as insufficient content performance,poor integration of pictures and texts,weak competitiveness of picture books,and lack of talent in picture books.In the future,efforts can be made from the following five aspects: First of all,the content creation is based on traditional culture,and the theme is extended under the guidance of the concept of "child-oriented",the core of the story is reshaped with the contemporary way of thinking,and the content is drawn in layers.Secondly,with traditional Chinese painting techniques as the screen creation characteristics,absorb the latest painting thinking,in order to promote the integration of art and techniques,rich narrative techniques to increase the strength of the picture "speak",to create a dramatic plot;Thirdly,based on the classical form as the binding,diversified folios and pages,digital picture books are developed to enhance the interactivity and interest of picture books and extend the reading scenes.Then,with the 4P theory as the core of marketing,it stimulates the demand of domestic and foreign markets by actively using national policies,knowledge marketing,high-quality IP and international exchanges,and achieves the target of market development through the mode of multi-channel sales and diversified prices.Finally,take multi-party cooperation as the main stream of talent training,guide the publishing house to adjust the relevant mechanism,and the state,school and society cooperate to train talents in graphic creation and editing.With the joint efforts of various parties,we believe that in the near future,the original children’s painting club of "Chinese style" will achieve a qualitative breakthrough and show a real and vivid China for children at home and abroad.
