Since the beginning of the new century,the improvement of People's living standards and the advancement of educational concepts have driven the children's book market to a roaring pace,our country original picture book also in the prosperous market economy,the colorful cultural environment nourishes the vigorous development.A group of publishing houses,represented by Haiyan publishing house,twenty-one century publishing house and tomorrow publishing house,have made great efforts to develop original picture books.The number of original picture books published in our country has greatly increased,and shows that the cooperation of writers and painters is the main,the lyricism and educational significance is strong,the binding and layout forms are various,and the online marketing is the main,the publishing characteristics of offline marketing.As an important factor affecting the quality of the original picture book,the editing strategy of the original picture book in China also presents its unique characteristics,such as being good at polishing the details of the picture and text,highlighting the function of the picture book,etc..But it is not difficult to find that since the new century,the improvement of the content quality of our original picture books is not as satisfactory as the increase in quantity.This is manifested in over-emphasizing the educational value of picture books,favoring Chinese cultural themes,taking the line of writing as a forerunner,and having obvious market-oriented thinking,etc.,these editing strategies are the world's leading European and American picture books exist a certain gap.In contrast,European and American picture book editors pay more attention to multiple topics,adhere to the unity of picture and text,Polish narrative skills,widely cultivate picture book authors.In order to narrow this gap and find a more suitable editing strategy for China's original picture books since the new century,the editing work of original picture books in the new era needs to be more clear about the essential connotation of picture books and to correct the public stereotype,while adhering to the child-centered principle,we will continue to make in-depth research on relevant theories;thoroughly cultivate the contents of picture books,extensively explore topics,improve aesthetic standards,and refine on details;and excavate outstanding picture book creators,to coordinate and promote high-quality cooperation among authors,to gather the strength of the editors of original picture books,to exchange and discuss the editing strategies,and to promote the further development of original picture books in China.
