National political image is the overall impression and evaluation of a country in politics,a combination of the country’s perception of itself and the international community’s perception of it.A good national political image can enhance the country’s status and influence in the world and strengthen its soft power and competitiveness.Tell the story of China,spread the voice of China,and construct the political image of the country through archival stories.The 14 th Five-Year Plan for the development of the national archives requires "further promoting archival exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries and enhancing international influence and contribution".The archives department should be fully aware of its important role in the process of constructing the national political image,play the unique value and authoritative role of archival information resources in the process of constructing the national political image,and realize the value of archives in the process of enhancing China’s political image.The structure of the article is divided into three parts: the first part is the introduction,which briefly introduces the background and significance of the selected topic,the current situation of the study,the research method and the innovation points.The second part is the main body of the article,which contains four aspects: firstly,the basic concepts related to archival stories and national political image are defined,and the association between archival stories and national political image is clarified in four aspects: original records,diverse sources,presentation methods and mutual promotion.Secondly,the thrusts of archival stories in constructing national political image include content integration,subject diversification,dissemination ubiquity and storyline,and the contribution of archival stories to the construction of national political image is analyzed from three aspects of evidence,memory and identity,and the factors affecting the realization of the contribution of archival stories to the construction of national political image are analyzed.Again,a case study on the construction of national political image by archival stories is presented,taking the Belt and Road archives as an example.Finally,in terms of the development of archival stories,suggestions for the optimization and enhancement of archival stories in constructing the national political image are put forward,centering on two aspects: good archival storytelling and good archival story dissemination.The third part of the conclusion is a concluding statement based on the previous analysis.
