Chinese National Image In The Pyramid Under The Background Of One Belt And One Road

Since president Xi Jinping put forward the policy of building the Silk Road Economic Belt and the maritime Silk Road in twenty-first Century in 2013,with the deepening of policy communication,China has signed a cooperation agreement with more than 40 countries and international organizations,and has carried out the mechanism productivity cooperation with more than 30 countries.Chinese enterprises have built 56 economic and trade cooperation zones in more than 20 countries and created nearly $1.1 billion in tax revenue and 180 thousand jobs.At the same time,as the most closely communicated countries and regions with China in the ancient Silk Road,Arabian states have benefit a lot from the modern "Belt and Road" strategy through extensive trade and investment cooperation with China.During his visit to the Middle East in 2016 President Xi Jinping has also proposed to invite Arabian countries to join in "The Belt and Road" circle of friends,thus to promote the development and support stability in the Middle East.The countries of the Middle East have also become key members of “The Belt and Road” strategy.As one of the most influential countries of in the region,Egypt is likely to become the fulcrum of leveraging the Belt and Road along for development,at the same time as Egypt itself is facing internal and external hardship,actively participating in the "The Belt and Road" and seek cooperation between countries along the R&B and Chinese has become inevitable.This paper will use all the China related reports in Egypt's most influential newspaper —— “Pyramid” in 2017 as research object,using qualitative and quantitative methods for content analysis,combined with the international political situation and the current hot spots,in order to summarize Chinese country image from the perspective of quantity,types and issues involved,and also from the four dimensions of criterion,structure,emotion and aesthetics in the reports of "Pyramid" under the background of "The Belt and Road".In the third chapter,the text selected will be analyzed from the aspect of quantity,issues related,sources of reporting and affections shown in the reports,and in the fourth chapter,the following conclusions were drawn combined with the 4D paradigm of national image: Pyramid's attention to China has increased year by year,the national images of China in the reports are mainly positive but there are also some negative reports in varying degrees,mainly related to Chinese industrial products dumping to foreign countries,China exports cheap or illegal products,Sino US Relations(especially on the North Korea nuclear issue),exchange rate manipulationetc..Chinese national image in Pyramid is shown as the political power of gradually rising international influence,the ancient civilization has deep history relation with Egypt,the "world factory" with strong economy and can offer Investment and technology support to Egypt,but also with the issue of foreign dumping and illegal export and crudely made products.According to the analysis of the characteristics of China related reports in Pyramid,in the fifth chapter of this paper three proposals were proposed to enhance the country image of China in the Arabian world: strengthening the report quality of domestic media,enhance the degree of internationalization of media;broaden the path for cooperation and communication of Arab and Chinese media,building a platform for bilateral interoperability;deeply probe into field of public opinion in Arabian countries,telling Chinese story.
