Research On The Current Situation Of APP Users’ Personal Information Protection And Its Improvement Countermeasures

At present,the functions and services of various APPs are closely related to people’s life and work.People can meet various needs in work and life through APPs.However,when users enjoy the functions and services of the APP,there may also be a risk of disclosure and abuse of various personal information such as identity,medical health and property information provided by them.Some APPs have a series of problems,such as excessive collection of personal information,compulsory authorization,etc.the user’s personal information is often abused or even used as a way of profit.At present,how to better protect the security of users’ personal information in APP and promote the development of national network security has become the focus of the whole society.This paper aims to study the current situation of the protection of APP users’ personal information,put forward suggestions for the improvement of the protection of APP users’ personal information,and provide reference for the standardization of APP behavior and the formulation and improvement of privacy policies during the operation of APP.According to relevant laws and regulations,this paper analyzes the current situation of personal information protection of 28 APPs.First of all,in terms of the behavior of APP collecting personal information,the personal information security test is carried out through such key indicators as the legitimacy,minimum necessity,independent choice,authorization and consent of collecting personal information,the transmission of personal sensitive information and the cancellation of accounts of personal information subjects.Secondly,the privacy policies of 19 APPs are comprehensively analyzed from six aspects: policy text attributes,information collection and use,information storage,information sharing,rights of personal information subjects and consultation feedback.Through the research,this paper finds that there are some problems in the process of APP behavior,such as unclear collection of personal information,excessive request for user information,and the transmission and storage of personal sensitive information do not comply with the regulations;In terms of APP privacy policy,there are some problems,such as low standardization of privacy policy,excessive collection of personal information,unclear responsibilities of subjects in the stage of personal information sharing,and difficult to protect users’ rights.Finally,it puts forward suggestions to further strengthen the code of conduct of APP by clearly informing and collecting personal information,strengthening industry self-discipline,and improving the secure transmission and storage technology of personal sensitive information;Suggestions on optimizing APP privacy policy by improving the standardization of privacy policy text,the minimum necessity of collecting personal information,clarifying the rules for providing personal information externally,and clarifying the user rights protection mechanism.At the same time,it also puts forward measures to further optimize the environment for APP personal information protection,such as improving policies and regulations related to personal information protection,further strengthening the supervision of personal information protection,and enhancing users’ awareness of personal information protection.
