Research On The Privacy Protection Policy Of Social Media

With the development of privacy information digitalization on the Internet,online privacy infringements happen almost every moment.While social media provides users with personal information sharing space,it also brings huge privacy leakage risks to users.How to protect the privacy of Internet users worldwide,especially social media users,has become one of the most concerned issues in public opinion nowadays.Privacy is a concept of space in the era when the Internet has not yet been popularized.With the popularization of the Internet,the development of information technology and the popularity of social media in this era,privacy has gradually broken through the concept of physical level and become a concept of great significance for personal information protection.Nowadays,virtual communication and interpersonal communication in the real society are intertwined.The communication and interaction between individuals are more convenient,but at the same time,the feeling of "privacy is not guaranteed" comes into being.In 2018,privacy disclosure scandals of Facebook occurred frequently exposed,which made social media represented by Facebook may unable to protect or even actively sell users' privacy issues caused great concern in society.Whether in terms of network security or social impact,the topic of social media users' privacy security is of great research value.This paper focuses on the privacy policy of social media,studies the background and development process of the privacy policy,and explores how to improve the privacy protection mechanism of social media under the requirements of legal norms.The article is mainly divided into three parts.First,through the analysis of the network environment of social media in the era of big data,this paper describes the privacy risks in social media and analyzes the causes,clarifies the background of the privacy policy.Second,this paper takes Facebook,the most controversial global social media in recent years,as the representative to discuss privacy-related issues,focusing on the technical reasons for the problem of privacy disclosure,and through text analysis to analyze the privacy policy of Facebook.Thirdly,this paper interprets the privacy protection laws of the United States and European Union countries where the Internet industry and humanistic awareness are more advanced,analyzes the impact of legal norms on privacy policy,and thinks about the enlightenment to our country.This paper puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions on the construction of privacy protection system for social network users in China,including the establishment of privacy protection legal system,the establishment of supervision and accountability mechanism,and the standardization of privacy policy for social media.
