Research On The Progress Management For A Company’s JLJD Software Development Project

With the continuous development of information technology,software has become one of the essential tools for people’s work and study,greatly improving the efficiency of society’s operation.Faced with fierce market competition,whether software development companies can deliver products to customers on schedule or ahead of schedule not only affects the company’s market competitiveness but also affects customers’ production and operation activities.The customer base of A Company is mainly concentrated in large enterprises such as petrochemicals.With the continuous improvement of customers’ overall requirements for software projects,the original software project management method of A Company has exposed many problems,resulting in many projects being delayed.B Company,a petrochemical enterprise,has always used manual accounting to manage the calibration of measuring instruments.In order to standardize management and improve work efficiency,B Company decided to find a third-party software development company to customize a software system to realize the informationization of measurement management.A Company successfully won the bid for B Company’s JLJD software development project.This thesis will ensure that A Company can deliver the JLJD software development project to B Company on time according to their requirements through research on project progress management.This thesis analyzes the current situation of project progress management in A Company and finds that the main problem in software development project progress management is the lack of scientific and reasonable methods.To address this issue,this thesis takes the JLJD software development project that A Company won the bid for as the research object.After analyzing the characteristics of the project,the thesis first adopts project progress management methods such as work breakdown structure,plan review technique,and critical path to develop a scientific project progress management plan for the project.Then,the thesis proposes a progress control process based on progress monitoring and deviation analysis,etc.,and the critical chain method is proposed to optimize and monitor the project progress management plan of the JLJD software development project by calculating and setting buffer zones.Finally,a few measures have been proposed to ensure the successful implementation of the JLJD software development project.This thesis develops a scientific and reasonable project progress plan for the JLJD software development project,effectively avoiding the problem of brainstorming in project planning for A Company.The critical chain method proposed in the thesis can also effectively solve the problem of project delays that occur during project execution,providing powerful guarantees for delivering the JLJD software development project on time,with quality and quantity.At the same time,it is hoped that this research can provide some reference significance for the project progress management of other projects in A Company and other enterprises in the same industry.
