The Construction Of The Heroic Concept Of People’s Daily News Reporting In The New Era

Since the new era,the Party Central Committee has vigorously promoted the spirit of heroes,and has repeatedly given instructions on heroes and heroism,emphasizing the importance of heroism.The mainstream media,which undertakes the important task of transmitting the positive energy of the society and promoting the mainstream values of the society,is also increasing the emphasis on hero reports.Under such a background,it is of certain theoretical and practical value to explore the hero report of mainstream media in China and the construction of hero concept.From the perspective of frame theory,this paper takes the hero report of ’ People’s Daily ’ since the new era as the main research object,selects the relevant reports issued from 2012 to 2022 as the research sample,and uses content analysis method,text analysis method and statistical analysis method as the main research methods of this paper.The specific news framework and tendency presented in the report are sorted out and studied.Zang Guoren ’s three-level theory is used as the theoretical framework to deconstruct the hero report of ’ People ’s Daily ’ from three levels : report theme framework,report content framework and report narrative framework.Based on the analysis of the framework of heroic reports,it is found that the heroic reports of ’ People’s Daily ’ present the heroic source view of ’ hero source people ’,the heroic quality view of ’ casting extraordinary achievements for national rejuvenation ’,and the heroic treatment view of ’ advocating heroes and defending heroes ’.After the analysis of the above levels,this study found that ’ People ’s Daily ’ will shape the collective memory by setting the reporting agenda;strengthen content production;resort to civilian emotions and other ways to construct the concept of hero.Through the above analysis,this study believes that ’ People ’s Daily ’ gives full play to the leading role of the party media,strengthens the value transmission of the concept of heroes,and lays a foundation for the formation of an atmosphere of advocating heroes in society.At the same time,the paper points out the problems existing in the current construction process,such as the modeling of heroes,the sensationalization of reports,etc.,and proposes an optimization path for the above problems.
