The medium holds positive attitude to PX reports. On the whole, the reports weaken the dominant position of protesters, exclude information of risk to environment. Science popularization news has duplicate content.PX news framework of People's Daily Online changed with time. Xiamen people protest actions are constructed as positive cases of politics participation. Thereafter, the maintenance of stability framework reporting is the mainstream. From 2013, the medium actively build economic value and science popularization framework. PX media image changes with the framework. Under civil rights and maintenance of stability framework, PX media images tend to blur. Positive image has been highlighted under news propaganda. People formed a stereotype and collective memory on PX, that greatly affect public attitudes and actions when faced with PX. To reshape social reality became the reason of changes on PX news frame.From the perspective of PX news framework structure, the high-level news frameworks are mainly economic value and science popularization framework. Distribution of middle-level framework is relatively balanced, and pays attention to the timeliness of news. On the low-level framework of news text, news photos, rhetorical strategies, keywords and reporting verbs are used to enrich the report content and convey the position of the media.Taking into account the problems in PX news framework, this paper presents certain optimization strategies. On the micro level, the medium should keep the diversity of source, increase the voices of the public and environmental NGO. At the last, PX reports involve scientific and technological information and risk information, the medium should ensure the scientificity of news language.
