| In today’s society,the body and technology are increasingly connected;At the same time,the discussion of "body" and "embodiment" has gradually become a hot topic in the academic circle.Throughout the history of media communication,the concept of the body has never been absent and has always been present in communication practice.With the advent of the era of intelligent media,especially the widespread use of new technologies such as 5G/VR/AI in communication activities,the "body" has returned to the vision of communication.As a client of Xinhua News Agency,which is the mainstream media integration in China,it has actively carried out the exploration and practice of embodied communication since its launch in 2014,opening a new mode of embodied communication from the perspective of body-technology relationship,and adding new possibilities for the transformation of integrated media.The theory of body-technology relationship emphasizes that human cognition is the result of the interaction between body,technology and situation,and its introduction into the study of media integration transformation,focusing on the communication significance of body elements,can provide a more comprehensive idea for media integration transformation.At present,research on the relationship between embodied communication and media integration is rare,and most of the studies ignore the communication value of the body and the embodied experience in the transformation of media integration.In view of this,this study attempts to combine the two,based on the perspective of body-technology relationship,taking the Xinhua client as the discussion object,analyzing the embodied communication of the Xinhua client from the perspective of the body-technology relationship,and rethinking the meaning of the body in communication.This study is divided into five parts.Firstly,the body,embodiment and media embodied communication are elaborated as the theoretical support and macro background of this study.Secondly,through the analysis of the situation of Xinhua News Agency client’s embodied communication under the background of media integration transformation,the rationality and feasibility of Xinhua News Agency’s client’s embodied communication are demonstrated from the perspective of body-technology relationship.Thirdly,taking Don Yider’s three body theories as the starting point,this paper interprets the concept of the body in different media reporting forms of Xinhua News Agency,and discusses in detail the multi-faceted significance of embodied communication in the process of media integration.Then,from the perspective of body-technology relationship,the practical dimension of Xinhua News Agency’s client’s embodied communication is analyzed,revealing that the embodied communication of Xinhua News Agency’s client has gradually advanced from"perceptual embodiment" to "technology-mediated perceptual embodiment" in news reports.Finally,on the basis of the above research,this paper summarizes the potential and shortcomings of the current embodied communication of integrated media,and reflects on the impact that the perspective of body-technology relationship will bring to the embodied communication of integrated media.This study believes that the research combining the theory of body-technology relationship and the practice of media embodied communication has great theoretical value and practical significance for the future development of media integration and news communication theory.The embodied communication practice of Xinhua News Agency client in the era of media integration shows that the theory of body-technology relationship can not only provide a theoretical basis for media integration,but also can be applied to the entire process of news production.The impact of the embodied communication of integrated media on journalists,users and society should be paid attention to and responded to. |
