| Subject service is an innovative service provided by university libraries to teachers and students in response to the new environment,which requires subject librarians to go deep into each department with professional subject knowledge,investigate and study the subject needs of each department’s office,teachers and students,so as to provide accurate subject service.With the vigorous development of libraries,the subject service has become the main criterion for evaluating the quality of a university library service,but it is difficult to pay attention to the orientation of the subject service,without which there is no direction.The correct orientation of the subject service is of great significance to the development of libraries and universities,which can promote the development of library subjects and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of universities.Provincial universities have a long history of operation and good foundation of discipline construction,and the discipline services based on the orientation and user needs are more mature,but the specialized clusters of local and municipal universities are insufficient,the discipline foundation is not strong,and the discipline services are also at the initial stage of construction.Therefore,this study adopts the idea of "theoretical construction + practical investigation + comprehensive application" and conducts research from the following aspects:The first part: To investigate the current situation of library subject services in local and municipal colleges and universities in Guizhou Province.The analysis is mainly conducted on nine teacher-training colleges and universities that have just been promoted to undergraduate level.In the first stage,we investigated the official websites and public numbers of the libraries of nine local and municipal colleges and universities through online surveys to analyze the overall situation;in the middle stage,we designed questionnaires in four different groups according to the actual situation to understand the situation of subject services in depth;in the later stage,we entered the libraries of each college and university through interviews or field visits to analyze the current situation of subject services.The second part: Constructing the discipline service scheme based on the positioning theory.We summarize the current situation of discipline services of local and municipal university libraries in Guizhou province by visiting and investigating to find out the problems;based on the orientation theory,the architecture of discipline service orientation is built from three aspects: service direction,service resources and service talents.At the same time,it provides the service positioning methods that make reference to decision making,support construction and support the competitiveness of the discipline in the process of disciplinary services.The third part: Based on the positioning theory,we propose countermeasures for the development of disciplinary services.The countermeasure suggestions are put forward in four aspects of positioning respectively: positioning of discipline services applicable to our university,discipline services combined with local characteristics,service team for tapping discipline potential and establishing performance assessment system. |
