Research On The Current Situation And Promotion Strategy Of Subject Service In University Library

Subject service is a special field in the whole library system that can best embody its innovative service and personalized comprehensive service.Compared with the traditional single bibliography,category and reference service,subject service is an active guidance service with higher expansibility and innovation.It is closely related to users' scientific research and professional fields,requiring subject librarians to understand and be familiar with users' scientific research projects or professional activities,so as to provide users with more professional,effective and enlightening professional knowledge and information navigation,and provide highly targeted and efficient information services for users' scientific research projects,And can directly and efficiently promote the user's scientific research work.Through consulting and studying the existing literature and information,this paper compares the current situation of subject service in colleges and universities in our country,and found that the current situation of subject service in our country is not very ideal,and its service effect is far from the expected effect.The reason lies in all aspects,and the root is that the subject service has not achieved the maximum results within the limited conditions.All parties have doubts about the effectiveness of subject service,which leads to the slow development of subject service and unsatisfactory practical application.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the service effect of subject service.This paper mainly discusses the development degree,effect,level measurement and evaluation of subject service with reference to the library level,and then combines with the current situation of subject service in University Libraries in China,focusing on the perspective of the main library,This paper puts forward some innovative ideas to promote the effect of subject service,and discusses its feasibility and the impact of practice on subject service.The main points are that the service provided by subject service is more targeted,directly facing the core needs of users,and more directly serving the needs of users' teaching and scientific research.On the basis of the above,the ways and contents of providing information for users are more comprehensive,the information provided is more enlightening and expansive,the efficiency of the professional ability of the subject service team is improved,and the coverage of subject service is expanded.Specifically,it includes providing researchers with real-time tracking and statistical analysis of the required data,providing teaching and research personnel with the required real-time project information,providing information literacy training for learners,and relying on its own resource advantages to assist in the distribution and recovery of the survey questionnaire of the scientific research projects,so as to contribute to the improvement of Chinese subject service.
