Reserch On Subject Service Of University Libraries Based On User Needs

With the rapid development of information technology,more and more users’ needs show the trend of specialization and diversification.And in order to adapt to the digital information era,the subject service of university library has established the subject service mode oriented by users’ demands.To carry out discipline service is an important symbol to evaluate the quality of college library service,and around the user demand is the core of college library discipline service.However,the current process of conducting discipline services in college libraries ignores the understanding of users’ needs.Therefore,it is of certain practical significance to analyze the college library discipline service based on user needs and put forward targeted countermeasures to improve the quality of college library discipline service.This paper selects Zhengzhou Z university library and its users as the investigation object,investigates the current situation of its discipline service,combines the user needs,and proposes corresponding countermeasures for the existing problems,expecting to provide some ideas for the development of discipline service in other universities.This paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction,which describes the background,purpose,significance and current situation of this thesis,clarifies the ideas of the research and determines the operability of the research;Chapter 2 is the relevant overview,which explains the concept and characteristics of user needs and college library discipline services,as well as the influence of user needs on college library discipline services,and finally analyzes the relevant theories to provide the basis for the later research;Chapter 3 is the survey and analysis,which provides the basis for the later research.The third chapter is a survey analysis,which investigates the current situation of the construction of the discipline service of Z college library in Zhengzhou through a combination of network survey,questionnaire survey and interview;meanwhile,through the questionnaire survey method,it deeply understands the users’ awareness,demand and satisfaction of its discipline service,and makes an analysis of the survey results;Chapter 4 is a problem and influencing factors,after combing through the survey analysis in the above-mentioned third chapter;Chapter 5 is the corresponding countermeasures,based on the problems in Chapter 4,the corresponding recommendations and countermeasures are proposed in order to promote the quality of library discipline services;Chapter 6 summarizes and outlooks the findings of this paper,Chapter 6summarizes the findings of this paper,and clarifies the limitations of the research and the outlook on the future discipline services of colleges and universities.
