The global economy has entered the era of digitalization and VUCA,full of change and uncertainty.Rapid response to customer needs and rapid iterative delivery of value will be the key for software companies to capture the market.In order to seize opportunities in the increasingly competitive software industry,traditional software companies are gradually recognizing the need for change and trying to transform through agile to respond quickly to market changes.L is a traditional software company that mainly provides intelligent office solutions,and has been using the traditional project management model based on the waterfall model in the early stage of project management,which often leads to delivery delays,slow response to demand,and difficulties in changing requirements.The traditional project management model could not adapt to the current market demand,so L company tried to transform the project management model to agile.Agile development is a project development management method to quickly respond to customer needs and realize product value.Scrum is one of the most widely used agile frameworks,which emphasizes human-centeredness and responds to customer needs through iterative and incremental development to improve the efficiency of software development and delivery.Company L’s C software project is a comprehensive new project.Due to the constraints of the client’s project management requirements,the agile development methodology could not be applied directly.Based on this,this dissertation proposes the feasibility of introducing agile development to traditional software project development by taking the software project process management being used by Company L as the research object and combining the characteristics of traditional software projects and the project management requirements of the client side.Firstly,information was collected and related field literature was reviewed to study the theories and methods related to software project management,agile development,and process optimization as the theoretical basis of this paper’s research.Secondly,after analyzing the current situation and problems of software project process management in Company L,the main problems of Company L in software project development process were collected and analyzed through face-to-face interview method.Using agile development ideas and methods,an optimization plan was designed to meet the practical application for the stages of requirements analysis,system development,and testing,where the development process problems are concentrated.Then,the optimization plan was practiced for the C software project,and the corresponding guarantee measures were formulated by summarizing the experience in practice.After the end of the project,the effect of the practice was evaluated from three latitudes:project,customer satisfaction,and team.The final implementation results proved that the optimization of C project process management based on agile development made the project schedule more controllable,improved project delivery quality and customer satisfaction,enhanced team efficiency,effectively improved the problems of traditional project management,and provided a reference example for process management optimization of similar software projects.
