In recent years, the academic research on collective memory mainly focuses on the audience’s collective memory of major events, how the media and new media shape the narrative mode of collective memory, and how the classical theory of communication is applied to the formation of collective memory from the perspective of communication, but there is little discussion and comparison on the differences of collective memory between generations. The focus of this study is to explore the differences between the audience of the film and television group and the audience of the film and television group. The results show that among the fans of friends, there are some differences in collective memory between different generations. The differences are embodied in the presentation and construction of collective memory. The collective memory of the Post-70s group shows the characteristics of critical reflection. In their view, friends gives individuals the experience of reshaping cognition. In the process of revisiting memories, they can reflect on themselves and society, add new knowledge and experience, and construct a relatively more complete self; The collective memory of the post-80s and post-90s shows the phenomenon of collective nostalgia.Out of the emotional escape from the realistic context, they expect to get rid of their inner loneliness and helplessness by remembering the past; The memory after 00 is decoded completely according to the intention of the screenwriter and the director, reaching a consensus with the world outlook, values and love embodied in the play, and showing a yearning for beauty and a longing for the future as a whole. In the construction of collective memory, the four decades also show different ways of expression.Firstly,it is reflected in the differences in the use of social platforms.Compared with the Post-70s and post-80s groups, the post-90s and post-00s groups use more diversified media to construct memory,in a state of"platform swing";Secondly,in the self presentation of interpersonal communication, the post-90s and post-00s enjoy the self-expression and image construction of online virtual space, and the Post-70s and post-80s think that offline emotional communication and relationship maintenance are more real and meaningful;Thirdly,in terms of content production and dissemination, compared with the Post-70s and post-80s,the post-90s and post-00s are more accustomed to the production of online content, including the design of social sharing products such as expression packs, jokes and short videos, and peripheral products such as Lego and calendar; Finally,in dealing with the shaping of collective memory by the media, the post-90s and post-00s have a more intense response. As the "aborigines" of the Internet, they resolutely defend their right of independent expression on the Internet, show a strong resistance to the selective shielding behavior of the media, and the United Front"guards" the common collective memory. Finally, the background and reasons of the differences are analyzed:the transformation of social thoughts brought by the progress of the times, the diversification of value orientation brought by social transformation and the diversification of media contact methods brought by technological change are all important reasons for the differences of intergenerational collective memory.
