The unit of activity "Cultural Life in the Hometown" is the implementation of the working group "Contemporary Cultural Participation" and,as a unit of activity,it places new demands on teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.This article uses questionnaires and interviews to understand the current situation of teaching the unit of activity "Cultural Life in the Hometown",to summarize the problems and to propose corresponding strategies.The article is divided into three parts.In the first part,in order to explore the pedagogical requirements of the unit of activity "Cultural Life in the Hometown",this chapter analyzes the characteristics of the unit of activity "Cultural Life in the Hometown",which are practical,integrated and contextual.It is because of the specificity of this unit that the pedagogical requirements of the current activity unit "Cultural Life in the Hometown" are clarified:building self-confidence and cultural self-awareness,improving overall language skills,and implementing practical activities.In the second part,in order to understand the current situation of teaching the activity unit "Cultural Life of the Hometown",the author analyzes the examples of lessons of teacher D of the internship school,combines the results of interviews with other teachers and student questionnaires,and concludes that the main problems in the teaching of this unit are:unclear teaching objectives,utilitarian teaching philosophy,lack of teacher guidance and insufficient teaching Inadequate evaluation.This is mainly due to teachers’ poor understanding of the unit,their limited experience in teaching the unit,the limitations of the traditional teaching model and the need to improve teachers’ knowledge;students’ weak methodological knowledge and practical skills,and the influence of academic work pressure and test orientation.In the third part,considering the problems of teaching the unit of activity"Cultural Life in the Hometown",this paper proposes corresponding teaching strategies:change teachers’ teaching philosophy,clarify the teaching objectives of the unit;integrate the unit activity tasks,unite and link the teaching;strengthen the activity process orientation,improve the o verall application ability;improve professional knowledge,highlight the benefits of teaching the activity;optimize the evaluation and feedback system.Optimize the evaluation and feedback system and implement the requirements of disciplinary teaching. |
