Over the recent years,targeted poverty alleviation has been a relatively important political issue in China,and also the focus of media attention.When dealing with this humanistic political issue,the media showed an emotional reporting orientation.Based on emotional communication,this paper takes the precise poverty alleviation reports on the Weibo platform and newspaper platform of “People’s Daily” from November 2013 to March2021 as the research object,and uses computer-aided text analysis and questionnaire surveys to explore the content and effect of emotional communication in the report.Firstly uses sentiment analysis and topic clustering methods to analyze the distribution and expression of sentiment in targeted poverty alleviation texts,and then combines questionnaire surveys and big data in long-term effects and instantaneous effects.This paper explores the emotional dissemination of "People’s Daily" accurate poverty alleviation reports,and finally summarizes the above empirical results and offer constructive proposals from three dimensions of emotional expression in the report,the emotional relationship and the emotional experience of the audience.The main findings of the study are as follows: First,the accurate poverty alleviation reports of the People’s Daily generally present an emotional structure with positive emotions as the keynote emotions and negative emotions as the state emotions.And with the progress of the event,there is a phenomenon of positive emotion unipolarization.Second,this article divides the emotions in the reports into eight types,including "good","happy","evil","sorrowful" and so on.It is found that People’s Daily realizes the mediation of emotions through the differentiated narrative of different emotions.The third is to discover the important function of People’s Daily in shaping the social emotional atmosphere through questionnaire survey and computer-aided analysis,and through the analysis of influencing factors,it is found that the emotional factors of the text have a positive impact on the audience’s similar emotions.In addition,including media environment factors such as quality of reports,media channel,and reporting type,as well as individual factors such as audience gender,age,motivations,and audience involvement will also have an impact on the communication effect.
