The News Narrative Analysis Of The Targeted Poverty Alleviation Report Of People's Daily

Targeted poverty alleviation is the essence and highlight of the party's and the country's poverty alleviation work in the new era,and it is an important guarantee for completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the great "Chinese dream" of the Chinese nation.As the mouthpiece of the party,the government and the people,China's news media have always focused on poverty alleviation.Poverty alleviation is a long and difficult project,and there must be various stories in the process from poverty to poverty alleviation.So how does the news media describe poverty alleviation? In the narrative of poverty alleviation,what kind of narrative perspective is used,how to change the narrative time and what kind of narrative mode are adopted are all topics worthy of further discussion.This paper selects 509 targeted poverty alleviation reports of People's Daily from January 2014 to December 2019 for news narrative analysis.The research found that People's Daily mainly used the first-person limited knowledge perspective to record the progress of poverty alleviation,and used the third-person limited knowledge perspective to feel the progress of poverty alleviation.Using the omnipotence perspective to show the achievements of poverty alleviation and carry forward the advanced deeds of poverty alleviation figures.Using a purely objective perspective to convey all kinds of information about poverty alleviation.In terms of the change of narrative time sequence,prenarration is mainly used to set up suspense,and flashbacks are used to insert background information of poverty alleviation and using the interleave to introduce anecdotes of poverty alleviation figures.In terms of time control,People's Daily choose to use summary to datalize the results of poverty alleviation,and use pause to detail the experience of poverty alleviation.From the perspective of narrative mode,there are mainly three modes: news mode to convey policy information,propaganda mode to promote ideas and experience,and story mode to record the poverty alleviation experience of cadres.This paper holds that the news narrative of the targeted poverty alleviation report of People's Daily has the characteristics of diversified narrative perspectives,ingenious narrative time transformation and a narrative mode dominated by propaganda.In the future news narrative of targeted poverty alleviation report,People's Daily should attach importance to the use of pure objective perspective,increase the news model and reduce the propaganda model as much as possible,and strive to make more ordinary people become the protagonist of the story.
