Experimental Research On The Effect Of Complex Training On The Explosive Power Of Adolescent Tennis Athletes

Abstract/Summary:
Background: Good tennis special explosive quality can ensure that athletes hit high-quality return balls and achieve ideal ball speed in competitions and improving the difficulty of opponents’ return balls,which is one of the key winning factors.Complex training combining resistance training and plyometric training is a relatively new research hotspot,its training efficiency and the effect of explosive power are unanimously recognized by most researchers.However,there are few studies on the effect of complex training on the explosive power of adolescent athletes in tennis.Objective: In order to improve the special explosive power of adolescent tennis athletes,this research was conducted to investigate whether the combination of resistance training and plyometric training can have a positive effect on the explosive power level of adolescent tennis athletes as a more efficient training method than resistance training or plyometric training,so as to provide a new idea for the current training to improve the explosive ability of adolescent tennis athletes.Methods: The research was completed by literature method,experimental method and mathematical statistics method.25 adolescent tennis athletes aged 12-13 years from Kaihong Tennis Club,Longwan District,Wenzhou City,Zhejiang Province were selected as experimental subjects,randomly divided into complex training group(CT group,n=9),resistance training group(RT group,n=8)and plyometric training group(PT group,n=8).After 10 weeks of experimental intervention(actual training intervention for 8 weeks,and the other 2 weeks for pre-experiment,test before and after the experiment),there are 2 training courses per week,each course lasts 90 minutes.The seven items of maximum muscle strength(bench press 1RM,back half squat with weight 1RM),lower limb explosive power(standing long jump,vertical jump touch height)and special explosive power(closed side medicine ball throwing in forehand and backhand,head forward throwing medicine ball)were included in the test indicators,and were tested twice before and after the experiment.Before the experiment,normality test and single factor analysis of variance(ANOVA)were performed on the data.After the experiment,paired samples T test was used to compare the changes within the group,and single factor analysis of variance was used to compare the differences between groups.Results:(1)Before the experiment,there were no significant differences in the results of maximal muscle strength,lower limb explosive power and special explosive power in the CT group,RT group and PT group(p>0.05).(2)After the experiment,the test data of CT group,RT group and PT group were compared between groups,and it was found that there were extremely significant differences(p<0.01)between bench press 1RM and back half squat with weight exercise 1RM,there were significant differences in forehand side throwing medicine balls,backhand side throwing medicine balls,and head forward throwing medicine balls(p<0.05),and no significant differences in standing long jump and vertical jump touch height(p>0.05).(3)The test data before and after the experiment were compared,it was found that the CT group had a very significant improvement in all test items(p<0.01).The RT group had a very significant improvement in bench press 1RM,back half squat with weight1 RM,vertical jump touch height,head forward throwing medicine ball(p<0.01),and a significant improvement in standing long jump,closed side medicine ball throwing in forehand and backhand(p<0.05).The PT group had a significant improvement in standing long jump,vertical jump touch height,closed side medicine ball throwing in forehand and backhand,head forward throwing medicine ball(p<0.01),and a significant improvement in back half squat with weight 1RM(p<0.05),also there was no significant improvement in bench press 1RM(p>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Complex training significantly improved the maximal muscle strength,lower limb explosive power and specific explosive power performance of adolescent tennis athletes.(2)Compared with resistance training and plyometric training,complex training which combined of these two training methods has a better effect on the improvement of maximal muscle strength,lower limb explosive power and specific explosive power of adolescent tennis athletes.(3)The complex training can make up for the deficiency of resistance training in explosive power training and the deficiency of plyometric training in maximal muscle strength training,and complex training can improve the strength and the explosive power of the athletes at the same time,effectively use the limited training time and improve the training efficiency.
