Parent-child communication refers to the multi-level interactive process of exchanging ideas, transmitting emotions and expressing opinions between parents and children. The quality of parent-child communication directly affects the parent-child relationship and the healthy growth of children. With the further development of urbanization in China, the establishment of "factories in the city" and "industrial parks" has given rise to a number of workers moving to the city, and the supporting facilities around the factories are becoming more and more complete. However, the parent-child communication in the families of migrant children is not optimistic and there are many problems, and parent-child communication has a positive and significant impact on the academic performance, interpersonal communication and physical and mental health development of migrant children. In this study,parent-child communication problems in families with migrant children in J city industrial park were studied.Based on the relevant literature,we visited the basic situation of parent-child communication of migrant families in the industrial park community.Through the method of "questionnaire survey" and "purposive sampling" and following the "information saturation principle",we conducted semi-structured interviews with parents who met the sampling criteria to understand the performance of parent-child communication problems in families with migrant children. We conducted semi-structured interviews with a sample of parents in order to understand the performance of parent-child communication problems in families with migrant children, screen the clients, and analyze the causes of the problems and the needs of the clients.Under the guidance of cognitive-behavioral theory and communication theory, the study aimed to enhance the correct parent-child communication cognition of group members, acquire parent-child communication skills, and apply them to daily life situations. The intervention process of this study includes two forms of group parallelism and group linkage, mainly from two aspects of cognition and behavior. The content of the parallel group work was designed according to the different characteristics and needs of both parents and children, focusing on the concept of "people in context" social work, and arranging the group linkage process appropriately to reinforce the new behaviors formed by the group members through the group linkage.A record of group activities was made during the intervention, and an evaluation of the effectiveness and client satisfaction was conducted at the end of the intervention. The results of this study found that the parallel group approach was effective in improving the parent-child communication skills of families with migrant children, and that parents’ communication awareness increased and their communication skills improved, and they had some communication skills. Finally,we summarize and reflect on the whole intervention process, and also provide some ideas and references for future social workers to do related research. |
