In 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the requirement of strengthening labor education in the new era at the National Education Conference,and labor education once again attracted the attention of our society.In July 2020,the Ministry of Education issued the "Guideline on Work in Primary and Secondary Schools(for trial implementation)",which proposes the implementation path of"organically infiltrating labour education in subjects".The language subject is both instrumental and humanistic,and is a comprehensive,practical course in the study of the common national language and script,which plays a vital role in shaping people’s spiritual qualities,cultivating their awareness and attitude,and enlightening their minds.Language textbooks are not only the main vehicle for students to learn the curriculum,but also a key medium for enhancing the core literacy of the subject.The rich labour education resources contained in textbooks should not be overlooked and should play a role in the integration of language subjects and labour education.This study is based on a theoretical approach,a content analysis,a survey of the current situation,and a strategy proposal.First,the rationale and significance of using labor education resources in primary language textbooks are analyzed at the theoretical level to provide rational arguments for the subsequent study.Second,based on labor education-related policy documents,an analysis framework of labor education resources in textbooks was developed,and a content analysis method was used to analyze the textbooks in three dimensions:the subject categories of labor education resources,the literacy orientation of labor education resources,and the presentation of labor education resources.Based on the analysis of labor education resources in the unified version of elementary school language textbooks,the following conclusions were drawn:the various categories of labor education resources cover multiple types of labor and focus on production labor,which is the richest type of labor education resources;the textbooks have a comprehensive penetration of labor literacy and focus on eulogizing the spirit of dedication to labor;the presentation of labor education resources is diversified,but the image of laborers is slightly single.The textbooks are the richest in labor education resources;the textbooks have a comprehensive penetration of labor literacy and focus on the dedication of labor spirit;the labor education resources are presented in various ways,but the image of laborers is slightly single.Again,the interview method was used to investigate the current situation of using labor education resources in the unified version of elementary school language textbooks to understand the current situation of teachers’ use of labor education resources in language textbooks in actual teaching.On this basis,we analyzed the shortcomings of the use of labor education resources in textbooks.Finally,according to the characteristics and problems of using labor education resources in the unified version of elementary school language textbooks,four improvement strategies are proposed in a targeted manner.The first point is that it is necessary to strengthen theoretical knowledge of labor education and understand the content of the composition of labor education resources.The second point is that teachers should study this textbook carefully and dig deeper into the labor education resources in textbooks.The third point is to consciously integrate labor education resources in textbooks and set interdisciplinary learning task groups.The fourth point is to make use of modern technology to enrich the methods of using labor education resources.In order to help elementary school language teachers improve the use of labor education resources. |
