The “double reduction” policy promulgated in July 2021 has attracted widespread attention and attention from all walks of life.As the main caregiver and educator of the child,parents play a pivotal role in the development and comprehensive development of the child’s personality.The effective implementation of the "double reduction" policy has made some parents who originally relied on after-school tutoring confused,facing multiple pressures such as further education and future development,and cannot effectively resolve the anxiety of education or the aggravation of educational anxiety.Based on the field survey of M community in Qingdao City,this study takes the educational anxiety of parents of school-age children as the starting point,takes the emotional ABC theory of emotions and social learning theory as the framework,and uses the questionnaire survey method and semi-structured fan interview method to conduct in-depth research on the emotional status and causes of parents of school-age children.The study found that the current situation of educational anxiety in parents of school-age children is not optimistic,mainly manifested in anger,depression,negativity and irritability,and the main causes of educational anxiety among parents of school-age children are: 1.The child’s behavior is inconsistent with the parents’ psychological expectations,and the child lacks trust and encouragement;2.Unreasonable educational belief;3.There is no appropriate emotional outlet.The needs of parents are mainly focused on exploring ways to improve the personal education belief system as a breakthrough,through the release of anxiety emotions,improve emotional methods and skills learning,establish rational beliefs,enhance the inner strength of school-age parents,and then promote them to maintain a positive attitude.Combined with the needs assessment of the subjects,this study adopts the combination of group work methods and rational emotion therapy to design group activities,and studies the improvement of educational anxiety in parents of school-age children from three stages and a total of eight activities:emotional perception and comprehension stage,cultivation and re-education stage,and alternative reinforcement stage.Through the evaluation of the intervention process and the evaluation of the results,it is found that this practical intervention has achieved good results in mastering the skills of alleviating educational anxiety and constructing reasonable educational thinking for parents of school-age children.Finally,the study reflects on the specific process,advantages and disadvantages of group work involving parents’ educational anxiety in school-age children,and puts forward targeted suggestions from the social level,social work professional perspective and parents themselves.
