With the implementation of the national policy of "three births" and the society’s advocacy of paying attention to family education,stay-at-home mothers have become an indispensable special group in Chinese society, and their mental health needs attention.Stay-at-home mothers,as a special group, have their own characteristics, which determines that they are an indispensable part in the early socialization of children. As more and more professional women choose to leave the workplace and return to their families, the long-term single full-time life makes full-time mothers feel great pressure, and the inner pressure with nowhere to release breeds certain anxiety. The pressure brought by anxiety constantly infringes on their physical and mental health, and also transmits negative energy that can’t be ignored to their families. Therefore,it is of great significance for social workers to use scientific social work methods to help stay-at-home mothers relieve their anxiety.Taking the full-time mothers in X community of Qingdao as the research object, during the actual intervention process, the workers first collected the data and needs of the clients by questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview, and found that the anxiety of these full-time mothers mainly manifested in personal physiology, psychology and social communication. Then, the reasons for these anxieties are mainly personal, family and lack of social support. On this basis, group work was carried out to recruit 8 full-time mothers from the community, and the anxiety degree of the group members was evaluated by using SAS.Seven growth group activities of "full-time mothers to reduce the burden" were set up based on ABC theory, dominant perspective theory and social support theory in group work theory.Through the evaluation results,it was found that the anxiety of full-time mothers was relieved, and the group goals were basically achieved.Carrying out group activities through the use of group work methods has certain advantages in helping full-time mothers to alleviate their anxiety, and to some extent,it can alleviate their anxiety.Of course, the use of group work intervention also has shortcomings, which can be further improved from the following aspects to improve service and flexibly use group work methods and skills;Meet the general and individual needs of team members;Improve the service object support network; In order to promote the application and development of group work in the relief of anxiety of stay-at-home mothers, and provide reference for the attention of the community to stay-at-home mothers.
