Research On The Education Of College Students’ Concept Of Labor In The New Era

The concept of labor is the fundamental viewpoint and basic viewpoint of people on labor,which has a direct guiding effect on labor behavior.College students are newcomers of the era who are responsible for the great task of national rejuvenation,and the correctness of their labor concept is not only related to their personal future and destiny,but also affects the development of the country.However,affected by multiple factors,some college students still have problems such as weak labor concept,utilitarian value orientation,prejudice against the division of labor,and lack of labor spirit.Therefore,paying attention to and studying the education of college student’s concept of labor in the New Era is an urgent and important topic.At the 2018 National Education Conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to cultivate builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics who have a comprehensive development of morality,intelligence,physical education,art,and labor,opening a new chapter for the development of the education of labor concept.From the level of college student training,establishing a correct outlook on labor and improving college students’ labor literacy is an important way to promote their all-round development;from the national level,strengthening the education of labor concept is an inevitable requirement for the implementation of the fundamental task of establishing moral education and is also a proper way to practice the socialist core values.This article combs the ideas of the education of labor concept in the excellent Chinese traditional culture,draws on the Marxist theory of the education of labor concept,and based on the education of labor concept discourses of the leaders of the Communist Party of China,as the theoretical source of this research;it conducts key interviews with 20 teachers and students on the current situation of the education of college student’s concept of labor in the New Era,and conducts a questionnaire survey on nearly 1000 students in 6 universities.Through the empirical research,the main problems and causes of college students’ concept of labor education were analyzed.The reasons for these problems are: the negative social environment,the inadequacy of the education of labor concept in schools,the biased concept of the education of labor concept in families and the receding subjectivity of college students.It is further suggested that college students’ concept of labor education should be explored and progressed together from four paths,namely,playing the permeable role of the education of labor concept in society,strengthening the main role of the education of labor concept in colleges and universities,emphasizing the basic role of the education of labor concept in family,and promoting the endogenous role of self-employment education.
