The construction and development of international Chinese language education courses are the focus of disciplinary development,and the related courses also assume the important function of promoting Chinese language teaching and learning,spreading Chinese culture,and shaping China’s image to the outside world.Along with the deep integration of information technology in the field of education,Mootools(MOOC),as an open online teaching resource,has been involved and integrated into the globalization of international Chinese language education courses.Coursera is one of the most influential catechism platforms in the world today,and is also the catechism platform with the largest number of foreign learners and the widest range of teaching language categories.According to statistics,the number and scale of international Chinese language education courses run on Coursera are the highest among foreign catechism platforms,and the feedback resources from different types of learners are also the richest,so it is of great reference value to study the construction of international Chinese language education courses on Coursera,learners’ feedback and comparison with language education courses in other countries.It is not only a reference for the setting and optimization of online international Chinese education courses,but also a window to understand the teaching effectiveness of online international Chinese education courses.The study of international Chinese language education courses on Coursera platform is divided into five parts.First,the operation of international Chinese education courses on Coursera platform.It mainly summarizes the course operation mode of Coursera platform and the operation characteristics of international Chinese language education courses,and gives an overview of the operation status of international Chinese language education courses on Coursera platform.Second,the construction of international Chinese education courses on Coursera platform.The analysis is mainly conducted at four levels: course construction,course categories,course contents and course ratings,and combined with charts and graphs,the construction characteristics of relevant courses are summarized.Thirdly,the typical course construction characteristics under the typological perspective.Through case studies and comparative analysis,the three most representative courses among comprehensive courses,examination courses and cultural courses,Chinese for beginners,Learn Chinese: Chinese for HSK 1 and Chinese Culture and Contemporary China,are selected for analysis in terms of course content,course content and course rating.We analyzed the construction characteristics,strengths and weaknesses of the typical courses in terms of course content,teaching methods,teaching contents and classroom tests.Fourth,the learning feedback of international Chinese education courses on Coursera platform.The feasibility and necessity of the construction and application of the platform and international Chinese education courses are verified mainly by sorting out the interaction of the course forum and the specific contents of the course evaluation and analyzing the course learning effect situation presented therein.Fifth,the shortcomings and optimization strategies of the international Chinese language education courses on Coursera platform.By summarizing the practical problems in the forum interaction and course evaluation of the international Chinese education courses on Coursera platform,we put forward specific solutions from the students’ perspective with a user-oriented mindset,and provide reference suggestions for the optimization and development of the international Chinese education courses on domestic and international catechism platforms.
