Research On Public Space Renewal Strategy Of Banpo International Art District Based On Urban Memory

The public space of industrial heritage area is a place for people to carry out daily communication and participate in public activities,as well as an important carrier of urban memory.Public space involves natural environment,urban context,people’s production and life,and so on.Reasonable renewal of public space is of great significance to the continuation of urban memory.Banpo International Art District is an industrial heritage area that has been transformed into a creative industry park.It has a long history and typical characteristics of industrial culture.With the acceleration of urbanization,the renewal of industrial heritage is affected by the pattern and standardization,and it appears the homogenization phenomenon.The public space of Banpo International Art District also appears the phenomenon of homogeneity.Although the landscape environment of public space has been improved after transformation,the sameness transformation method leads to the formation of the sense of separation between space and people.The space context gradually disappears,and the sense of belonging and identity of space is gradually weakened.Therefore,the study of urban memory is of vital significance to the renewal of public space in Banpo International Art District.This paper takes the public space of Banpo International Art District as the research object,and based on the theory of urban memory,discusses its public space renewal strategy.Based on the basic research on public space and urban memory of industrial heritage areas,this paper discusses the relationship between public space and urban memory of industrial heritage areas.This paper investigates and analyzes the status quo of memory preservation,public space and crowd activities in Banpo International Art District,and summarizes its current problems.Furthermore,the operation process of urban memory and its influencing factors are further analyzed.Combined with the current situation of Banpo International Art District,the factors of creating public space in Banpo International Art District based on urban memory are sorted out and summarized,which are respectively environmental factors,humanistic activities factors and spatial place factors,and then the mechanism of creating public space in Banpo International Art District based on urban memory is proposed.Namely,"Excavation and extraction of urban memory--memory understanding;Storage,Organization and Representation of Urban Memory--Memory Identification;The continuation of Urban Memory--Memory Practice ".On this basis,the current situation of public space in Banpo International Art District based on urban memory is deeply analyzed.Through problem analysis and element analysis,as well as construction mechanism,this paper puts forward specific renewal strategy of public space of Banpo International Art District based on urban memory.Namely,to establish the characteristics of Banpo International Art District by digging and extracting the urban memory;By protecting its natural base,human activities,space places,to maintain the memory scene,promote people’s memory identity;By optimizing the network structure of public space,optimizing the expression of public space memory elements and updating of typical public space,integrating spatial pattern,realizing the organization and representation of memory;Through the participation of the memory subject,the spirit of the place is cultivated to realize the memory practice.The research of this paper explores the renewal strategy suitable for Banpo International Art District,and provides a new idea for the renewal of the public space in the industrial heritage district.
