Research On The Public Construction Strategy Of Urban Public Space In The Transformation Of Industrial Heritage In Gongshu District

The industrial land that was formerly situated in the suburbs has now moved into the urban center as a result of the rapid increase of urban living space brought about by the development of society.The development of the process of "retreating from the second to the third" has left a large number of industrial relics in these areas.The development of society and cities makes people have higher and higher requirements for urban public space.Therefore,the transformation and reuse of many industrial relics has become part of urban public space.However,the quality of urban public space in the current transformation projects of industrial relics is uneven.It is necessary to study its construction so that it can better serve the public.Gongshu District has achieved good results in the reuse of industrial relics and the construction of urban public space,and the construction of urban public space in its industrial relics transformation project has certain reference and reference value.This paper selects the urban public space in the completed industrial heritage transformation project in Gongshu District as the research object.Firstly,it reviews the industrial development history and industrial protection history of Gongshu District,analyzes the characteristics of the industrial remains in Gongshu District.A cross-sectional comparison with the characteristics of industrial remains in China reveals that they are similar to the majority of industrial remains in China in terms of their small spatial volume,their close relationship with urban residential areas,their distribution along urban transport routes and their proximity to each other.The industrial remains in Gongshu have a commonality in terms of their small spatial volume and close relationship with urban residential areas,but they have an individuality in terms of their relationship with the city’s main waterways and with other remains.Then,the status quo of the transformation of industrial heritage in Gongshu District was explored,and it was found that most of its transformation functions are open to the public,providing more urban public space,but the vitality of urban public space is uneven.In addition,the types of urban public space in the transformation projects of industrial heritage in Gongshu District are also analysed.Typical cases were selected based on the characteristics of the industrial heritage in Gongshu District and the characteristics of the urban public space therein.As the star model shows high quality in terms of publicness relevance,research context and research content fit,this paper has chosen the star model as the base evaluation system among the mainstream publicness evaluation models,and uses it in Gongshu District Corrected star model in the context of Industrial Legacy Transformation.And then the typical cases were investigated and evaluated with the revised star model,and the publicity of urban public space in the industrial relics transformation project of Gongshu District was summarized.The 12 current experience in construction and the characteristics of urban space with high publicity.Finally,the specific development strategies are summarised from four levels:pre-development,external connectivity design,internal enrichment design and operation management,and summarised with relevant case experiences at home and abroad,forming a complete design and operation strategy for the public development of urban public space in the transformation of industrial heritage projects.It is intended to provide a reference for the development of urban public space in industrial heritage projects with similar characteristics(Smaller spatial scale and more closely related to urban settlements)to those in Gongshu District.At the same time,it can be enriched with research related to the conservation and reuse of industrial heritage and the construction of urban public space.
