Study On The Correlation Between Urban Public Space And Industrial Heritage

The rapid development of industry has greatly improved social productivity and driven the rapid expansion of urban space.However,with the gradual adjustment of China’s industrial structure,the city has gradually entered the stage of deindustrialization,and the urban space has also shifted from incremental development to stock digestion.As a typical industrial zone,Qingshan district has a large number of industrial plants and workers’ residential areas left behind,which have a great impact on urban public space in the process of its renewal and transformation.How to deal with the resulting problems should be based on the research on the relationship between urban public space and industrial heritage.Based on the urban public space and industrial heritage as the research object,taking Qingshan district as the research scope,based on the theory of star model,combined with literature research,field survey,morphological analysis and comparative research,system research of the urban public space and the relevance of industrial heritage,and the evaluation of urban public space of a typical case of the public,put forward under the background of industrial heritage update transformation design and control strategy of urban public space.As one of the series of papers on public space research in Wuhan,this paper is divided into three parts:The first part sorts out and analyzes the evolution of urban space and the development of industrial heritage in Qingshan district since its establishment in 1955,reveals the correlation between urban space and industrial development in the process of industrialization and deindustrialization,and summarizes the basic characteristics of urban space evolution in each period under the influence of industry.The second part,in view of the city road space,urban park,urban commercial space,outside of urban public space,the residential public space,the residential traffic node space types of urban public space,such as the first analysis of its historical evolution course,and then from the historical evolution,morphological evolution,spatial distribution,space form,functions use such as the breakthrough point,the system the analysis summary of urban public space and the relevance of industrial heritage,reveal the industrial heritage evolution under the influence of the update of the internal logic and the development of urban public space of Qingshan district characteristics.The third part,based on the previous research on urban public space and industrial heritage,selects four typical cases that are transformed from industrial heritage into urban public space,analyzes their current situation,evolution and public space,and reveals their internal correlation before and after the renewal.Then,the star model is used to evaluate and analyze the publicity of the current space,explore the adverse factors affecting the publicity,and analyze the causes behind the problems based on its relevance to industrial heritage.Finally,the design and control strategies of urban public space are put forward.
