Study On Transformation Of Urban Industrial Heritage Area Into A Public Space

With the rapid development of urbanization,the adjustment of industrial structure and the process of city make the traditional industry move from the center of the city,which leads to the abandonment and idle of a large number of industrial factories and old industrial buildings.In the process of cities in various countries,countries are experiencing the process of urban transformation,and more and more attention is paid to the protection and utilization of industrial sites.Due to historical development,most of the abandoned industrial sites are located in the good location center of the city,but driven by economic interests,unreasonable transformation has been adopted,resulting in the destruction of industrial sites and the impact of the overall cultural landscape of the city on the fault.This paper takes the industrial sites in the center of the city as the research object,discusses how to transform them into urban public space through landscape redesign.Centre on the study of relevant cases at home and abroad,it focuses on how to transform space and how to create new and dynamic urban public space from landscape redesign.Through the case analysis of the successful transformation of the two industrial sites,the paper analyzes the design methods of the transformation and reuse of the old industrial wasteland,which has a good guiding significance for the landscape redesign research of industrial heritage protection and reuse.Based on the analysis of the cultural landscape redesign of the old industrial sites,this paper analyzes the functional transformation methods of industrial historical buildings and the overall space,and comprehensively analyzes its location value and shortcomings through analysis and evaluation,and finally sums up its SWOT analysis.Centre on the design concept of "memory projection",this paper studies the protection and reuse of industrial heritage.Combined with the project background of the old industrial site area of Hanyang Iron factory in Wuhan,the project site is refined as the historical and cultural transformation point of urban public space,so as to maximize the productivity and comprehensive value of the site idle space.To explore the relationship between people and places,cities and industrial building sites,public activities and historical memory.Through the transformation from industrial sites to public spaces,the interaction between people and urban places and the experience of urban culture and history can be promoted.Meanwhile,the urban texture and more complete public image of the city can be enriched on the basis of protecting the features of industrial sites.Through the research of this paper,we hope to arouse the attention to the industrial heritage landscape in the central area of the city,and explore the effective design strategies for its protection,transformation and redesign.
