industrial cluster with international competitiveness.Digital technology has become the core driver to stimulate the vitality of enterprise innovation and promote economic quality change.Infiltrating digital technology into all processes of enterprise operations and integrating and interacting with each process data can not only optimize value chain cost management,but also improve operational efficiency and avoid potential risks.Whether digital transformation can be successfully implemented and achieve the desired results is determined by many factors.How companies choose the right digital transformation path for themselves and how to determine the basic elements of the digital transformation plan are all important contents to ensure the smooth implementation of digital transformation.Different companies have different motivations for digital transformation,the paths they choose,and the industries they operate in,and the effects of digitalization vary from case to case.Based on this,it is necessary to conduct research on the digital transformation of enterprises.Especially driven by the digital economy,China’s industrial transformation,especially the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry,has attracted much attention from academia and practical circles.However,the existing research on digital transformation mainly focuses on the conceptual framework,the impact on decision-making and the relationship between business models,etc.,and is mostly described from the perspective of conceptual theory,and there are few in-depth case studies related to domestic manufacturing.Sany Heavy Industry is the representative of the first echelon of domestic machinery manufacturing market competition,with the nature of industry benchmarking,which officially began its digital transformation in 2016,and the implementation of digital transformation practice span is long,with mature digital transformation experience.Therefore,this article will mainly analyze the digital transformation path and the effects achieved by Sany Heavy Industry,in order to draw some lessons that other companies can learn from.This thesis adopts a combination of theory and case studies to take Sany Heavy Industry’s digital transformation as a guide.The research objects analyzed and studied the implementation motivation of digital transformation,the path of implementation,and the effect of implementation.Specifically,it mainly includes the following four parts.The first part is an introduction to the theory.Firstly,the research background and research significance of this thesis are explained,and the research results of domestic and foreign academic circles in terms of digital transformation drivers,path selection and performance impact are sorted out and summarized,and it is found that there are still some unfinished points in the existing research,and then the research ideas,overall framework and research methods adopted in this thesis are introduced.Secondly,the relevant concepts of digital transformation are introduced,and the existing digital transformation paths are summarized.Finally,financial performance evaluation methods and non-financial performance evaluation methods are introduced,and the related theories of digital transformation are summarized.The second part is a case study.Firstly,the basic situation of Sany Heavy Industry and its industry was introduced;Secondly,the digital transformation process of Sany Heavy Industry is summarized and divided.A detailed description of the three phases of its digital transformation,its specific timeline and the work done in each phase;Finally,the motivation for Sany Heavy Industry’s digital transformation and the specific transformation path selected by Sany Heavy Industry are explained.The third part analyzes the effects of Sany Heavy Industry’s digital transformation from the financial indicator dimension and non-financial indicator dimension,among which the financial dimension mainly starts from the cost,profitability,operational capacity and growth ability indicators.It is found that digital transformation has reduced the production,labor and period expenses of Sany Heavy Industry,and improved the profitability,operational efficiency and growth ability of the enterprise to a certain extent.Non-financial dimensions are mainly analyzed from market response,customer relationships,employee structure,etc.It was found that the market has responded positively to Sany Heavy Industry’s digital transformation,improving enterprise value,while better maintaining customer relationships and improving customer satisfaction,in addition to optimizing the employee structure.Part IV contains the conclusions and recommendations of the study.Based on case analysis and data comparison,this thesis concludes that The digital transformation of Sany Heavy Industry is realized through the transformation of all links of the value chain,which promotes the overall improvement of Sany Heavy Industry’s financial and non-financial performance and ultimately enhances the comprehensive competitiveness of Sany Heavy Industry.Finally,on this basis,the digital transformation of enterprises should be based on a unified digital transformation foundation,a mature and implementable transformation methodology,and suggestions on the need to strengthen the unified management of data assets. |
