The advent of the digital economy era has accelerated the integration of a new generation of information technology with the real economy,optimized all aspects of business operations while also overturning the traditional value creation logic of manufacturing enterprises and changing the value relationship between enterprises and various stakeholders.General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that in the new development stage,China should vigorously promote the deep integration of digital technology and the real economy,accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries,and continuously enhance the strength and competitiveness of the digital economy.Through digital technology,enterprises can not only achieve transformation and upgrading,improve operational efficiency,but also reduce costs,thus realizing value creation.Therefore,it is particularly important for manufacturing enterprises to carry out digital transformation.This paper adopts the case study method and literature research method to take Sany Heavy Industry,an early and effective digital transformation in the construction machinery manufacturing industry,as an example to explore how manufacturing enterprises can realize value creation through digital transformation.On the basis of defining the two core concepts of digital transformation and value creation,this paper compares process reengineering theory,power change theory,value chain theory and enterprise value assessment theory,studies the motives,safeguards and history of digital transformation of Sany Heavy Industry,and the path of value creation of digital transformation of Sany Heavy Industry and evaluates the effect of its value creation.The study found that: first,in terms of value creation path of digital transformation.The value creation of digital transformation of Sany mainly has four paths of digital R&D,digital platform construction,digital marketing and digital supply chain management,which correspond to the improvement of product value,cost value,service value and supply chain value of the enterprise respectively.Secondly,in terms of the value creation effect of digital transformation.The value creation effect of digital transformation of Sany is mainly reflected in four aspects:firstly,the operation cost is reduced and the operation efficiency is improved;secondly,the personnel structure is optimized and the per capita output value is improved;thirdly,the product competitiveness is improved and the product hit rate,market share and brand attention are enhanced;fourthly,the innovative business model is achieved and the overall value is improved.The possible contribution of this paper is to enrich the research related to digital transformation and value creation of enterprises to a certain extent,which can provide new perspectives and directions for future research.In addition,Sany Heavy Industry is also a model of digital transformation in the construction machinery industry,and its successful experience will provide useful reference for other enterprises to realize value creation through digital transformation.
