| With the development of society and economy,people’s demand for cultural life is growing year by year.As an important space place for disseminating cultural knowledge,enhancing citizens’ cultural literacy,and promoting the learning and growth of young people,physical bookstores play an important role in people’s daily cultural life,the construction of spiritual civilization in cities,and the overall progress and development of the country.However,in recent years,with the rise of online shopping and electronic reading,the development of physical bookstores has faced an unprecedented crisis,and many physical bookstores have been closed down.How to compete with online bookstores and e-reading and develop the unique characteristics and values of physical bookstores has become an important issue in the development and transformation of many physical bookstores.The large-scale independent physical bookstore,as an important type of physical bookstore,due to its large area,rich functions,changing space and other characteristics,can make more diversified spatial characteristics,meet more diversified functional needs,to provide people with a unique local space feeling and rich reading,shopping and life experience.This will be an important value and competitiveness that distinguishes physical bookstores from online reading and electronic book purchases,and it is also an important development direction for maintaining the continued survival and operation of physical bookstores.Based on the experience economy theory,this paper conducts a study on the spatial design of large-scale independent physical bookstores,explores in detail its spatial organization methods,functional streamline layout,thematic concept settings,interior furniture decoration,etc.,and analyzes how these design strategies affect people’s spatial feelings and reading experience in physical bookstores.The main content of this study is divided into five chapters,which are summarized as follows:The first chapter mainly discuss es the research background,research origin,research purpose and significance of this paper,explains the relevant concepts and defines the research scope of this paper,and introduces the research content,methods and framework of this paper.The second chapter first reviews and sorts out the research status of large independent physical bookstores by scholars at home and abroad,then elaborates the main content of experience economy theory,and finally theoretically constructs the spatial design principles of large independent physical bookstores in combination with the theory of demand hierarchy and the theory of place spirit.Due to the high cost of large independent physical bookstores,the main body of construction is generally a large brand chain boo kstore main company(such as Xinhua Bookstore),or an Internet bookstore enterprise that has achieved great success in e-commerce(such as Dangdang.com).The article will mainly study its spatial design strategy from these two aspects.The third and fourth chapters,using the method of data access and case studies,focus on the spatial design strategies of the two major types of brand chains-"centralized volume" and "decentralized courtyard" large-scale independent physical bookstores,analyze the design methods of their external space and internal space respectively,and take the Changsha Lezhi Bookstore and Wuhan Shijianlu Bookstore chain brands as examples,and carry out case studies through field research on their offline stores.The fifth chapter focuses on the spatial design methods of online and offline integrated(O+O)large-scale independent physical bookstores invested and operated by Internet bookstore enterprises,and takes the first O+O bookstore in China,Changsha Dangdang Meixi Academy Project as an example,and analyzes in detail its spatial design methods such as spatial theme,functional configuration and interior decoration.Based on the experience economy theory,this paper analyzes the space design strategies of large independent physical bookstores in terms of spatial theme,functional configuration and interior design,and attempts to construct the spatial design principles of large independent physical bookstores under the experience economy,in order to provide a certain reference for the transformation and upgrading and construction practice of physical bookstores in the future. |
