Cultural consumption space has been a research focus in recently years,but there still are less researches on the spatial and temporal characteristics of the evolution of cultural consumption space,as well as the social networks of the cultural consumption space.In this paper,the methods of Kernel density analysis,factor analysis and social network analysis have been used to analyze the physical bookstores,which is a main kind of cultural consumption space.The evolution,characteristics,mechanism and construction methods of physical bookstores of different ownership will be analyzed,and then,the attention will be paid to the mutual construction of society and space,to prove the social value and the foundation of the physical bookstores.After that,the process of the mutual construction of social network and space in the physical bookstores will be analyzed as well.All these results will provide a new ideas and methods for the study of urban physical bookstores,and expand the theoretical framework of cultural consumption space.First,this study analyzes the physical bookstores in Nanjing in the scale of a city,which shows that the physical bookstores have a spatial characteristics of gathering in the process of spatial evolution,which presents a process of dispersion-agglomeration-rear diffuser.However,due to the differences in history,business model and property rights,there are significant differences in the spatial distribution and evolution between state-owned bookstores and private bookstores,but some spatial association can still can be found.Second,take Phoenix International Bookstore and Librairie Avant-Garde as examples of bookstores of different ownership,to analyze the space construction of these two bookstores in the scale of microscope.The space construction will arise the spatial identity of consumers,which can be divided into three dimension:the identity of site,the identity of commodity and the identity of people,while there are significant differences in the spatial identity between the bookstores,thereby affecting consumption practices of consumers.Finally,this study focus on Librairie Avant-Garde,by analyzing the three stages of construction and expansion of the social network,as well as the reaction to the space,the process of mutual construction by space and social networks can be showed clearly.And then,extracting the core activities of the social network,including the bookstore,the Internet and participants Q,who have a huge impact on the construction of space and social networks.Thus,the power and mechanism of the mutual construction of space and social network can be revealed.This paper aims to explore the evolution,space construction and the process of mutual construction by space and social networks of the physical bookstores,which is facing a unique economic systems of China and the impact of network.Therefore,this study will provide some suggestions to not only the development of urban cultural consumption space,but also the planning and transition of the physical bookstores in cities.
