Spatial Structure Evolution Of Rural Settlements In The Border Areas Of China And Myanmar From The Perspective Of Soil Conservation And Border Consolidation

With the development of The Times,China urgently needs to rely on border areas to carry out foreign exchanges and cooperation,but the development of China’s border areas is backward,and the problems of border areas are complex and changeable.The contradiction between them makes it urgent to strengthen the research on border areas and seek solutions.Firstly,the spatial structure evolution characteristics of rural settlements in the study area during 1980-1990 were analyzed by using the powerful spatial analysis and statistical function of GIS.After that,the main factors and related indicators affecting the development and evolution of spatial structure of settlements were extracted through literature analysis,and the basic data of each indicator were collected through literature review.The main indexes affecting the spatial structure evolution of settlements in the study area were identified by geographic detectors.Then,GIS,SPSS and other software were used to study the impact of each main index on the spatial structure of settlements.Finally,the paper summarizes the reasons influencing the spatial structure evolution of settlements in the study area,and puts forward suggestions to promote the development of border towns.This study found the following conclusions :(1)economic factors and infrastructure factors have gradually increased their influence on the spatial structure of settlements,becoming the main factors affecting regional development.(2)Under the influence of natural environmental factors,the construction land of towns and townships,industrial and mining construction land are gradually transferred to the region with low elevation and gentle slope.(3)Affected by infrastructure,both the construction land and industrial and mining construction land in towns and townships are transferred to areas with higher infrastructure development.Meanwhile,with the improvement of infrastructure development level,the distribution of settlements gradually presents a discrete state.(4)Under the influence of economic factors,the construction land of small towns and the construction land of industry and mining are gradually transferred to the region with a higher proportion of secondary and tertiary industries,but the degree of agglomeration is gradually weakened.The driving ability of port development to the development of villages and towns in the study area is limited,and only the port development in Lincang and Longchuan area of Dehong Prefecture has a strong radiating driving ability to the surrounding villages and towns.(5)Under the influence of population factors,population migration leads to a large number of idle construction land in towns and villages,which also leads to hollow population and solid land in border areas,causing great harm to border security.The development of local industrial and mining industries relies more on the surplus labor force from surrounding towns,so the distribution is compact in areas with low urbanization rate where surplus labor force is scarce,while the distribution is scattered in areas with high urbanization rate where surplus labor force is abundant.(6)Changes in bilateral relations only affect settlements within 4KM of the border;Bilateral relations have a great impact on the construction land in towns and townships.The influence of bilateral relationship on the change of construction land area satisfies logarithmic function.Only military positive events had no effect on the number of construction land in villages and towns,and the two corresponded to logarithmic function.Except for political and diplomatic positive events,the impact of all kinds of events on industrial and mining construction land basically satisfies the linear function.On this basis,in order to maintain national border security and promote the development of border areas,the following suggestions are put forward :(1)increase the number of permanent residents with industrial development as the main attraction,and promote the agglomeration of villages and towns in key areas.(2)The matching equalization and development direction of infrastructure are important factors guiding the development direction of township settlements.In the follow-up development process,the development direction of towns and townships can be guided by related infrastructure construction.(3)Although the influence of natural factors on the development of border villages and settlements is gradually weakened,the ecological environment of the study area is fragile,so the protection of ecological background should be paid attention to in the subsequent construction of villages and towns.
