Research On The Development Strategy Of Cross-border Transport Corridor In Border Areas

With the deepening of reform and opening up and the in-depth implementation ofthe western development strategy, border areas play an increasingly important role inthe area of promoting foreign trade, personnel communication and cultural exchanges,they have become an significant door in the area of developing foreign trade andeconomic and cultural exchanges, At the same time, border areas are the foremost placeto strengthen the construction of frontier and maintain the stability of the border areas.However, as the skeleton of the border areas, the development of the cross-bordertransport corridor generally has the following problems: the construction ofinfrastructure cannot meet the demand of cross-border transport; the structure oftransport mode is not reasonable; the function of cross-border transport corridors is notclear; the relation between the layout of cross-border transport corridors and thedevelopment planning of urban and rural space is not coordinated successfully; theability of defense during war and emergency is not reliable; and so on.This article researches the development strategy of cross-border transport corridorin border areas based on the case of Ruili. Based on the basic theory of transportcorridor, the concept of cross-border transport corridor is defined, analyzes itscharacteristics and main influence factors of its development.Firstly, this article introduces the general situation of Ruili, analyses thedevelopment status of cross-border transport corridor in Ruili;Secondly, based on the analysis of development trend of Ruili’s economy andsociety, then analyses the development trend of cross-border transport in Ruili, analysesand concludes the influence factors of the flow of cross-border transport corridor, thenuses the gray forecasting method to predict the flow of cross-border transport corridorof2015and2020in Ruili, analyses the relationship between supply and demand ofcross-border transport corridor; at last, points out the problems existing in its currentdevelopment;Finally, this article describes the strategic target of development of Ruilicross-border transport corridor, analyses and concludes the principles of layout ofcross-border transport corridor, designs layout scheme for Ruili cross-border transportcorridor, and determines their function respectively. designs the evaluation indexsystem including three aspects of economic benefit, social benefit and environmentalbenefit, then carries out an comprehensive evaluation on the benefits of developmentstrategy of Ruili cross-border transport corridor through the method of fuzzycomprehensive evaluation; and puts forward some countermeasures to promote theimplementation of the development strategy.
