| High-tech industry is a key vehicle to promote the technological revolution and high-quality economic growth. However, environmental benefits involved in its development process are coming to the fore.In order to improve the innovation drive and promote green development, this paper takes high-tech industries in each provinces, cities and autonomous regions as the object to study their performance in green innovation. This paper establish the green innovation evaluation index system of high-tech industry from four aspects: green innovation input capacity, outcome transformation capacity, economic benefit capacity and environmental support capacity.First, measuring the comprehensive index of the green innovation capacity of high-tech industry in 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions of China from 2009 to 2019 by using Entropy weight method. Then, analyzing the results by using Variation coefficient method and Natural break classification. The Coefficient of variation method and the Natural break classification are used to examine the spatial and temporal differences in the green innovation capacity of high-tech industries. At the same time, the toughness model is used to calculate the green innovation toughness level of high-tech industries in each provinces, cities and autonomous regions from 2009 to 2019,in order to study the ability of high-tech industries to resist risks in green innovation. The research results show that:(1)Green innovation level of high-tech industry in each provinces, cities and autonomous regions is rising.Green innovation investment ability, achievement transformation ability, economic benefit ability and environmental support ability have all achieved significant and fast growth.(2)The level of green innovation in China’s high-tech industry is seriously polarized. The absolute difference of green innovation level is measured by standard deviation, and the relative difference is calculated by coefficient of variation. Both are placed on the rise and the growth rate of the absolute gap is greater than the relative gap, indicating that the development gap between provinces, cities and autonomous regions is gradually expanding.(3)Green innovation level of China’s high-tech industry is high in the east and low in the west. The high-value and low-value regions are clustered, appearing the "core-edge" characteristic. From the spatial distribution of green innovation level,it can be found that the green innovation level tends to gradually weaken from east to west.Around areas with high levels, often neighbouring municipalities also have relatively strong levels of green innovation, while further away areas have relatively weak levels of green innovation.(4)Green innovation level of high-tech industry is not consistent with the level of resilience. The Eastern has a high level of green innovation and a low level of resilience. The level of green innovation in the northeast is an downward trend, also, the level of resilience is an downward trend. The overall green innovation resilience of high-tech industry has a poor performance and no significant upward trend, the resilience of the central region is relatively stable. Therefore,we need to cultivate green innovation capacity of high-tech industries according to the development characteristics of each region.Maintaining the leading position and bring superiority into full play of the eastern region, and sending talents and technologies to the west. The central region should upgrade its industrial structure and eliminate outdated production capacity. The West needs to strengthen infrastructure construction, building regional collaboration platform to undertake the input of resources from the East. Each regions need to improve the level of resilience, establishing an warning system to ensure the steady progress of high-tech industries. |
