Comprehensive Evaluation Of Urban Endogenous Development Capability In China

Stable endogenous development mode is not only an important strategy for sustainable urban development,but also an inevitable requirement of new development pattern.As the core of national economic development,provincial capitals(municipality directly under Central Goverment)are also the main spatial carriers for promoting social stability,ecological harmony and people’s happiness.To enhance the endogenous development capacity of provincial capital cities,and then can form a radiating effect and meet the people’s growing material and cultural needs.At last,the quality of life of residents will improve.Therefore,it is particularly important to evaluate the endogenous development capacity of Chinese cities.In this paper,endogenous development is given a new connotation.Based on the new connotation of endogenous development,the evaluation indexes are constructed from the perspectives of endogenous driving force and endogenous supporting force.Taking 30 provincial capitals(municipality directly under Central Goverment)in China as the research object,this paper studies their endogenous development from 2016 to 2020.Entropy evaluation method was used to weight the indicators,and the endogenous development capacity of the four major regions and provincial capital cities was evaluated and analyzed according to the score results.Measure the coupling coordination degree of the endogenous driving force and the endogenous supporting force of urban development.Carry out targeted regional discussion.Finally calculate the main obstacle factors affecting the coupling cordination.The conclusions are as follows:(1)In the Chinese city of endogenous development capacity in the comprehensive evaluation index system,the endogenous power include human resources,innovation ability,domestic enterprises energy and domestic consumption ability of four dimensions of 17 indicators,endogenous support contains natural environment support,technology support,social environment support three dimension of 17 indicators.The endogenous development capacity level of provincial capital cities and their regions have been continuously improved during the study period,and the development trend is good.The endogenous development capacity of the eastern region ranked first,followed by the central region,the western region ranked third,and the northeast region ranked last.On the whole,the endogenous support of cities lags behind the endogenous dynamic development of cities.Among the four dimensions of endogenous dynamics,innovation ability plays the largest role,and among the three dimensions of endogenous dynamics,social environmental support plays the largest role.(2)The coupling coordination degree between the endogenous dynamic force and the endogenous support force of the city increases with the growth of time,and the overall development trend is good.The coupling coordination degree of the central and eastern regions is the highest,the central and western regions are the second and the third,and the northeast region is the last.Among the provincial capitals(municipality directly under Central Goverment),the coupling coordination between endogenous dynamic force and endogenous support force was misaligned only in Xining,while the other cities were basically coordinated and above.(3)According to the diagnosis results of obstacle factors,the proportion of scientific and technological activity funds in financial expenditure,the number of invention patents granted for10000 people,and the number of domestic industrial enterprises above scale have the greatest degree of hindering to the endogenous driving force of urban development.GDP per unit area,per capita water resources,and the proportion of urban construction land area in urban area has the greatest hindrance to the endodenous development of cities.Based on the above conclusions,countermeasures and suggestions on how to improve the endogenous development capacity and the coupling and coordinated development degree of 30 provincial capitals(municipality directly under Central Goverment)in China are put forward.(1)Suggestions on the overall endogenous development of China’s provincial capital cities.(2)Recommendations for China’s regions and their provincial capitals(municipality directly under Central Goverment).
