Yuhe National Nature Reserve is located in Wudu District,Longnan City,Gansu Province. This area has a typical northern subtropical monsoon climate characteristics.which is mainly a mountain forest ecosystem with transition from subtropical zone to w arm temperate zone.It is rich in animal and plant resources, but has been a lack of compr ehensive and in-depth research on the species diversity of macrofungi in this area. This study conducted a preliminary study on the species diversity, floristic composition along with edible and medicinal resources of macrofungi in Yuhe Nature Reserve,Gansu Province, and evaluated the current resource status. At the same time,it provides a theoretical basis for the protection and utilization of macrofungi res-ources in this region. From July 2019 to May 2021,10 sampling sites were set up in the area,w hile field investigation and sampling were carried out according to different seasons.A total of more than 1,841 samples of large fungal fruiting bodies were collected.By combining morphological observation with molecular biology,301 species were id-entified,belonging to 2 phyla,6 classes,15 orders,64 families, and 142 genera. There are 23 species of edible fungi,49 species of medicinal fungi,18 species o f poisonous fungi,131 species of newly recorded species in Gansu and 19 species o f newly recorded species in China, and one species endemic to China:Zangia roseol a.There are 4 dominant families in this region, which are Omphalotaceae,Psathyrellac eae,Polyporaceae,Russulaceae, accounting for 6.25%of all families.among whic-h the species of Pleurotus ostreatus is the most, accounting for 11.96%of the total.The-re are 13 dominant genera, including Amanita,Cortinarius,Entoloma,Laccaria,Inocybe,Mycena,Gymnopus,Psathyrella,Tricholoma,Polyporus,Trametes,Lacta rius,Russula, accounting for 9.15%of all genera. The list of macrofungi in this stu dy was compiled according to"Index Fungorum"(http://www.indexfungorum.org/Na mes/Names Record.)database and《Dictionary of the Fungi》10th(2008).The results of the analysis of geographical floristic characteristics show that 142 ge nera in Yuhe Nature Reserve belong to 7 distribution patterns:1)77 genera in the World-wide;2)30 genera in north temperate distribution;3)11 genera in tropical-subtropical distribution;4)3 genera in East Asia-North America;5)4 genera in pantropical distribu tion;6)2 genera in East Asia;7)2 genera endemic to China. In this area, there are mainl y worldwide widespread genera, and the north temperate zone and tropical-subtropical d istribution genera also account for a high proportion, reflecting the typical floristic chara-cteristics of the reserve from subtropical to warm temperate zone. The floristic characteristics of macrofungi in Yuhe Nature Reserve and five other p rotected areas in Northwest China were compared and analyzed. The results showed tha t the main floristic components of these six reserves were worldwide widespread genera and north temperate distribution genera. However,Yuhe Nature Reserve has a highprop-ortion of tropical-subtropical distribution genera. The dominant families, genera and spe cific species in each reserve are very different,so it is necessary to formulate correspon ding strategies according to local conditions in the protection, development and utilizati on.
