From April 2006 to October 2006, some flora and diversity investigations were. given to the Yaoluoping Nature Reserve and 3100 numbers vascular plants or so were collected. These conclusions are drawn from the comprehensive investigation and analysis about the flora and diversity data. This paper mainly studied on the plant flora, structure of communities, plant resource and sustaining utilization. Results showed as following:1. The number of plant in Yaoluoping Nature Reserve was counted in this paper. There were 925 species vascular plants belonging to 471 genus and 132 families in the flora of Yaoluoping Nature Reserve, including 37 species (belonging to 26 genus and 17 families) of Pteridophyte and 12 species (belonging to 8 genus and 5 families) of Gymnosperms and 876 species (belonging to 437 genus and 110 families) of Angiosperms. Plant geographical flora in this area was also analyzed, and characteristics were concluded as following:①the 132 families in this region fall into 12 types, the tropic elements are more than temperate ones(59/29).②the 471 genus fall into 15 types and 12 subtypes, the temperate elements are more than the tropic ones(266/134).③the 925 species fall into 15 types, the temperate elements are more than the tropic ones(350/219), the endemic to China can be divided into 8 subtypes, among which East China-Central China and South-west China takes the biggest proportion. Connected with dominant families, this flora shows both temperate and tropical in nature, and the temperate elements are superior.2.The species diversity of Yaoluoping Nature Reserve were studied by five indices, such as richness, Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson index, Pielou evenness index, Alatalo evenness index. The diversity indices were calculated using individuals, importance value, coverage as estimated target, the plant communities' diversity in Nature Reserve was analyzed by species richness, diversity index and evenness index. The results showed as following:①There were same variant tendency in diversity index and evenness index among tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer in different communities, and the diversity indices used in this paper all reflected the variation of plant communities in Yaoluoping Nature Reserve;②The importance value in tree layer, individual in shrub, coverage in herb were superior in diversity indices;③The order of species richness and individuals total was shrub layer>herb layer>tree layer;④The order of Shannon-Wiener index was shrub layer>herb layer>tree layer, and The Shannon-Wiener index in herb layer was varied little in different communities;⑤The order of Simpson index was shrub layer>tree layer>tree layer, and The Simpson index in herb layer was varied little in different communities;⑥The order of Pielou evenness index was shrub layer≈tree layer>herb layer;⑦he order of Alatalo evenness index was herb layer>tree layer>shrub layer.3.There are rich resource plants among the vascular plants in Yaoluoping Nature Reserve. The main resource plants are classified as the edible plants(131 species), medical plants, starch plants, flowers, fodder plants, oil plants, tan plants, fiber plants, ornamental plants etc; and there are 16 species of rare and endangered plants, refer to Central China, East China, neighbour province and country data, there are 33 species of Anhui province rare and important species.
