With the arrival of "Made in China 2025",China's manufacturing industry is facing a global market with increasing market demand and fierce competition.In order to obtain market opportunities and survive in such a fierce market,enterprises can only continuously launch products that are in market demand or expected by customers.New product development management is the source of enterprise production of new products.Therefore,for sustainable development,enterprises must put new product development management in the core position,through which they can innovate,optimize and improve the products.Further,the key of new product development management is the new product development process.Based on the above research background and review of concerned theories,This paper takes HC Co.,Ltd as the research object to carry out research on the new product development process.Firstly,explore the current status of the company,organizational structure and new product development process.Through internal interviews of the company,sort out and analyze the problems in the process of new product development.The existing problems mainly included high project failure rate,unclear customer demand,pointless project approval review,confused responsibilities and tasks,department walls and ineffective communication.Secondly,use 5Whys analysis method to find the root cause of the problem.The main reasons are as follows: In the project approval stage of new product development(Drop),there is lack of demand analysis,no product positioning and poor information transmission;In the engineering verification stage(EVT),the technical management standard is lower than required standard and always changing.In the design verification stage(DVT),there is no clear development plan and no breakdown of project tasks;In pilot production stage(PVT),there is no separation between technology development and product development.Thirdly,Implement corresponding optimization measures for each stage based on process management,process optimization theory and IPD mode.In Drop,optimize the design of project approval evaluation of new product development,establish requirements management process,and establish project approval review committee.In EVT,introduce QFD tool to realize the implementation of customer requirements;In DVT,classify and validate project levels and decompose the project tasks by WBS;In PVT,separate the technology development and product development,and use the technology development platform as the tool to support the product realization.Finally,formulate the implementation steps of the optimization measures.In order to ensure the effective implementation of the optimization program,specific guarantee measures are put forward from the company's leadership support,special training,establishment of reasonable project performance management,information technology and other aspects.The optimization of new product development process of HC company,not only improves the success rate of the HC company's new product development projects,but also reduce the waste of development resources,helping it choice the most valuable investment projects under the limited resources.Besides,the separation of technology development and product development can effectively shorten the product development cycle,which makes the better sustainable development of enterprises.
